you might want to hire a strength and conditioning coach before you fire Dolander

Dooley comes from a fine coaching tree. Give him at least two more years for sure. By 2013, Tennessee should be competing for the SEC EAST. You guys will be top 15 material in two more years. Too much tradition with Rocky Top.

Run Dooley off Monday and then you can hire H Nutt at the end of the year.
How does that work for you?

No no no. Hire Joker instead of Nutt.

Youre beyond dense if you think he should already be winning the east 2 years in with all the Kiffin bullshite he inherited. Without their injuries they would be a tough out for anyone. I guess you don't understand how much it would take to be a head coach and an athletic director at the same time. I bet navy wouldn't be such a shitty team if they had him.

You won't convince some of these idiots no matter what you say. This place is just rediculous sometimes. Most people on the rant have been ready to hang Miles on numerous occasions. I guess Alabama should have fired Saban early on after losing to ULM too? It takes a little time to build a program how you want it built and until it gets there you will have some ups and downs.

That was my first thought. I can't even go to the UT sites due to the idiots that post stupid shite like this.

I don't like the weekly beatdowns anymore than any other Vol fan. The OP is a moron if he thinks Dooley is the problem.

Dooley will be gone..
We have enough talent where a well coach team would have beat UGA and UF, as well as keeping this game closer. I am tired of the excuses from our fan base.

All the coaches can do is prepare the kids for the game. Players gotta execute!

If you want to see a bad hire, take a look at Joker or Nutt.

The jury is still out on Mullen.

I think the real issue boils down to this. Fat Phil's last four recruiting classes included one that was labeled as one of the biggest busts for classes this past decade and two that were eighth in the SEC. Then Kiffin comes in and manages to bring in a class of 22 and only eleven are even on the roster 18 months later. On top of that 35+ players left the program, were kicked off, arrested, or flunked out.

Not even the great Nick Saban could win 8 games with this team.

So far, Dooley is beating the teams he is supposed to and losing to the teams that are better.

If he can bring in two more top 15 classes, then the fanbase can demand 9-10 wins.

This.

UT had about 75 scholarship players last season. They were basically on probation. You don't bounce back from that, especially when almost all your starters are underclassmen.

ETA- For a comparison, Bama has 60 players on their roster who are 4 or 5 star players :inb4stargazer:

I look at it that we were given a small death penalty with how many players we lost

Yes, please do fire Dooley and sink deeper into the abyss. UT could find all new lows if they keep up this hiring/firing rate. Like falling into quicksand, the more you try to pull yourself out the faster you'll sink.

Ignorant OP is ignorant.

I like Dooley but that doesn't mean he's guaranteed to be successful. Next season will tell all, just like we said when he was hired. If we aren't competing for the east, we cut ties. Simple as that.

What really blew my mind was the fact that UT recruited something like 4 ol over a 2-3 year span from Fulmer's end to Kiffin's paper class.

Unreal.
