i never understood why people think Dooley was a good hire. he played LSU hard at Tech ONE game and every one thinks he's the next Saban.

Agreed, but I think he'll get more time than he deserves.

"Things happened fast and guys didn't run off the field. The ball was snapped pretty quickly, and so we lose the game," Dooley said. "The rule is, when they run guys out on the field, we have to have adequate time to run guys off."

Are you f'ing kidding me? Please tell me he did not really this. Things couldn't have taken any longer! It looks like when Les gets fired this year (should be this week) that the SEC will still have a genuine retard on the sidelines that the rest of us can laugh at.

People like to keep bringing up the fact that Dooley is a Saban protege, but he did not look or sound like Saban after these statements

I guess he could have compared it to Pearl Harbor or 9/11?

I didn't like the less than gracious exit - he seemed to be completely skipping the "shake the opposing coach's hand" bit.

I don't get this...they shook hands already after the game was over the first time. No need to do it again after the last play again.

Hard to say Dooley was outsmarted by Miles when Miles was clueless as to what just happened. Spike the ball. Miles learned nothing from last years Ole Miss game. What made it worse was how smug he was in his post game interview. The entire country sat there saying to themselves "what a dumbass" and he's grinning to the reporter basically saying "yeah, I meant to do that". He actually picked his nose. Then came ESPN's studio guys hammering his idiocy.

Every year it's more apparent that in 2007 the Saban trained leadership of LSU's seniors won in spite of that boob Les Miles.

I know it is a really tough thing to admit that you lost a game to an assclown that was asking for a drink and nachos as the final seconds ticked off, but c'mon.

I dont care who you are, thats funny shite!

Thing is, the outcome wouldn't change but the last play should've been taken from the 16 with the throwing of LSU helmets on the field. Yes, the clock ran out but the game wasn't actually over since it can't end on a defensive penalty. Tennessee's shitty luck, they probably wouldn't have stopped LSU anyway since they couldn't stop them on 4th and 14.

Enough has been written to show why the no-call was the right call already, but, 1. Officials may not have seen it since they were focused on the scramble for the ball (not reviewable). 2. Officials do not call an offensive post-snap penalty on a game-ending play. The officials who would have been in position to make the call presumably thought the game was over, and correctly, saw no reason to make the call, given the game was apparently over. 3. There were four Tennessee staff/coaches on the field of play before Hebert took his helmet off, and there two players (without helmets, not that it matters) who came onto the field before Hebert took his helmet off. That is also a penalty situation because the play wasn't over (but also not reviewable, I think, unlike the illegal particaption call). If the helmet call should have been made, so should Tenenessee have gotten a post-snap penalty for sideline players and staff being on the field during a play. The video clearly shows that they come onto the field before the end of the play(and before the helmet throwing). That would have resulted in offsetting penalties and a do over. Imagine what would have happened if Tennessee hadn't had 13 men on the field and the refs called both of those post-snap violations. Everyone would have howled for their heads because it would have been crazy to make those calls.

In any event the officials were correct in not making a call on either team for post-snap violations under the circumstances.

And the other major complaint is likewise without merit- the ref clearly allowed Tennessee to make and complete its substitutions. The ref remained by the ball until Tennessee completed its subsitutions and the players were set before moving behind the Tennessee line. The video is clear and definitive.

I have seen some other complaints about other calls, but I also saw a picture of a clear facemask against Randle by Tennessee that was not called. Refs miss some calls. It happens both ways. But there was nothing that the refs did wrong in that final set of calls or no-calls.

I guess we'll have to agree to disagree about the helmet throwing since players from both teams running on the field after they think the game is over is much different than T-Bob doing it as an active participant.

Regarding the bolded part...no it wouldn't. The game can end (and should've) in offsetting penalties. It just can't end on a defensive penalty.

Watch this... LINK Your LG moved on the "faux" last play. And there's no way THAT shouldn't be called.

Shut the frick up with this already. Those guys that won it in 2007 had only one year under saban and 99% of them were redshirted.

You bama fans sound so fricking retarded when you say dumb shite like this.
