Don't look now, but Bama's opponents are being penalized less than any other

For the second consecutive year, we are ranked dead last in opponent penalties, 130/130. Referees refuse to call a fair game when Bama is playing. I guess they're tired of Bama winning, too. Or else they feel like Bama doesn't need any help - so they refused to call penalties on our opponents.
I, for one, am really sick and tired of Bama getting fricked over by those sorry arse SEC refs.

Bama was called for holding more times last year than all of our opponents combined in games played against us.
Our opponents were flagged for holding 2 times in 15 games... against one of the best front 7 defenses in college football history. Amazing.

Bama gets called more because they hold more.
The "bama never gets called for holding" meme exists because the ratio of called/uncalled holds is very lopsided in favor of uncalled.
This isnt because of any ref bias in favor of bama, mind you. Refs just don't typically like to call holding and Bama takes advantage of that.

Usually not.
In 2016, Bama was called for twice as many penalties as LSU. We were penalized 6 times to their 3.
In 2015, Bama was penalized 9 times to LSU's 7.
In 2014, Bama was penalized 3 times to LSU's 2.

We get hit on a crappy call vs FSU that wiped out a 26 yard completion. We get a ticky tack sideline call. We get a player thrown to the ground and they call a double foul, which was BS. Now they did miss that pass interference call in the end zone, that was a miracle.
Clemson doesn't get touched by the zebras, but we get a call late that gets them in position to win and then they let them run a blatant pick to do it.

That unsportsmanlike on Payne during Clemson title drive should have either been:
*Not called
*Or at the minimum offsetting as the Clemson player was a full participant. (pushing, shoving, etc.)
The 15 yards put Clemson in position to score, and along with many other frick ups was one of the daggers in the heart for Bama.
It was a pussy flag as two heavy weights were slugging it out in the last round of a title fight, and the ref simply had to get his five seconds of fame with some chicken shite call that fricked the purity of the moment/competition.
Game likely goes to over-time without that penalty.
Will never forgive the ref for that.
