I think 17 is correct for UGA

BUT - Auburn had a 20 game winning streak

The Barn was 11 - 0 in 1993 and won their 1st 9 games in 1994

UGA ended that streak with a 23 - 23 tie & then Bama beat the Tigers the very next week

Even when good, MO has never been able to sustain a winning attitude. Their 1975 team was a good team. Good enough to beat Bama 20-7 in B'ham in the season opener. MO went 6-5. Bama went 11-1.

Tulane was a legit player in CFB until they decided to turn their football program off basically.

Major Bowl Games, Long Win Streak, Conference Championships

They'll be a suitable replacement for Ole Miss after the NCAA drops the Bam hammer.

Neither school has won the SEC since the 60's so who would really know we switched them out???

It's not something I care about even slightly... just pointing out how easy it is to win 9/10 straight, and how crazy it is that Mizzou hasn't gotten any higher than 9 straight in presumably 100+ years of existence

Yes and no, the bottom half of the Big 8 or SWC tended to be fairly soft, but the upper half of those conferences usually had a couple of honest to God powerhouses.

Also many of the streaks you are referring to for Mizzou, Arkansas, and A&M were from back in the day when the SEC was in pretty much the same boat as far as being top heavy. The 60's for example were the glory days of the SWC in terms of talent and national rankings.

Major separation between the SEC and other conferences is a fairly recent development, other then Bama and Tennessee people would have laughed the hair off their arse at the thought of comparing the SEC to the Big 10 and PAC whatever number they were on back in the day.

Alabama did 28 game win streaks twice (1978-1980 and 1991-1993).

The 2nd one ended with the famous come from behind "Alabama beats Tennessee 17-17" tie and then the unbeaten streak ended at 31 against LSU a few games later.

In this day and age of parity and increased competition these type of streaks will be even more rare.

That's stupid.

Do you even know the history of the SEC? For years teams would only play 5 or 6 league games in SEC play. There wasn't a true round robin. Ever. Expansion in 1992 saw the SEC play the most league games for each program ever.

Hell, LSU played quite a few SWC teams in the 60's and 70's. Arkansas used to play Ole Miss regularly until the brawl after a wrongfully ruled FG made the schools out a halt to the game.

No matter how hard you try. You can never be Mizzous rival. You actually have to beat us regularly to do that instead of being our bitch.

That is terrible logic for South Carolina and Arkansas. Tulane was in the conference for 34 years, while SC and Arkansas have only been in the conference for 24 years.

So how many SEC championships will Arkansas win in the next ten years? Zero

Logic is legit.
