Before this season A&M only served beer (full bar) to the suites and club sections.

Now this year we have "beer gardens" down the lines behind our berm seating. Its $5 for a wristband and you get to buy and drink beer within a fenced off area.

I guess its progress, but still fairly lame.

I know when I go to UH or Rice games they have a tented area outside the parks where they sell beer, but you can only watch the game on TV.

LSU is just suits and club, but it should be the whole stadium though. Baseball and beer go hand in hand.

Suites and BYOB in outfield. Sankey seemingly hates the presence of alcohol at sporting events in any capacity, so I don't expect it to be easy to start sales

You can bring in coolers at Dudy Noble and Swayze, couldn’t imagine being a baseball fan outside of Mississippi.

Pot will be legal before either school in Alabama allows that to happen.

Seems insane they let you bring in coolers. Most athletic programs want money.

You can only bring coolers into the left and right field areas fwiw. And Lord-willing, that'll never change.

Drunk people get the drunchies, and it's hard to get drunk on stadium beer because of the lines, prices (assuming a stadium beer is at least $6 and a six pack of the same beer costs about that much at a gas station), and presumably stopping sales after the 7th or 8th. After six beers in four innings, one is much more inclined to buy a frick ton of hotdogs or some nachos than one would be while also waiting in line to get a beer every few innings

We do in the club section and suites. Doesn't matter though. LSU fans get plenty liquored up beforehand and sneak it in. LSU is probably the reason why the sec doesn't allow alcohol btw lol.

You can bring coolers into Left Field at Baum. It is connected to the concourse and you can walk over there for a few with friends if you're in regular seating.

24 suites have full bars if they want them.

This is sort of cool, but I hope it doesn't lead to Baum trying to monetize the consumption of alcohol by the students and non-suite people. I could totally see that happening, if they saw it as an untapped revenue source.

As of right now, Left Field at Baum is pretty much anything goes as long as you can keep from being a jerk.

We just drink our own beer out on the deck in outfield. Don’t even need to pay for a ticket!!

Yep, coolers you can bring into left and right field. The security guards will check to make sure there's no glass, but other than that you're free to bring whatever.

I'm surprised SEC allows beer garden for baseball since they nixed it for LSU football.

LSU got the idea for football from the game they played at Lambeau.

We bring out ice chest to the left field gate and walk out, get a beer and walk back in. Much cheaper that way. But I would like to be able to stay in the stadium and get a beer.
