That is dumb. LSU is a part of the SEC. We are affiliated with the SEC and anything which happens in it. If you care about LSU, you would understand this.

Absolutely it does. Not speaking for all Ark fans but I personally hate seeing this happen. It calls into question ALL of us. It calls into question Alabama's MNC last year. It casts a shadow on LSU and Florida's as well. Not saying that's right, but it's reality. We are already perceived as dirty - the whole gang of us. And this just fuels the fire. Furthermore, the cannibalization of a conference will ultimately lead to its demise. We are all worse off when we have member schools going through this stuff. When the NCAA comes snooping one or two schools/recruits, we are all at risk of having a light shone into a dark corner where we don't want it pointed. This is bad for all.

This kind of shite is typical SEC. The SEC is more about football and money than grades and diplomas.

The SEC = Junior Varsity NFL

This is even more ignorant than what the other guy said. The SEC is made up of UNIVERSITIES. In not one of the mission statements of the SEC member universities does it mention a single thing about sports. Appalling that people actually think this. Athletic Directors do not make decisions about running the university.

Agree. Considering Auburn has had a pattern of problems over the years, Bama not that long off sanctions, UGA and Florida with multiple arrests, etc., SC with special accommodations for their players in a downtown hotel, Tennessee with aggravated assault against a security officer with a slap on the wrist against the valuable players involved, the list goes on, it creates a thug image of the SEC. It reinforces the perception that our education standards are low and our players are dumb misfits and our administrations are complacent and make questionable recruiting decisions because they are willing to do anything to win.

There likely won't be a SEC team in the NC this season and college football fans elsewhere in the nation will reflect and agree that karma finally caught up with the SEC. Obviously as a die hard SEC fan, that is not my perspective but I'm afraid it might be a prevalent perception outside the SEC.

The NCAA will camp out in the SEC from now on. Wouldn't you?

Nope, I love it. All I care about is Georgia, I couldn't give 2 shits about the conference. Anything negative happening to one of Georgia's major rivals is good news to me.

Auburn has been playing great football.
LSU is just off a huge win. The SEC West has 5 teams in the top 25.
This was going to be another great year for the SEC.
But no one is talking about that anymore.
The whole Cam episode makes me ill.
It diminishes us all.

It's upsetting for some LSU fans for a couple reasons too

1) Auburn may end being ineligible and LSU's only loss is to Auburn - could well cost LSU a SEC title and maybe a shot at the NC (actually I'm more upset about the shot at the SEC title - IMO this team probably isn't good enough to beat Oregon or TCU)

2) Too much dirt nearby to be happy. It's Cam's and/or Auburn's fault if things went down as they are alleged to have... but when you blow up a pile of shite next to your house some of the splatter will be on your windows

Meh. I read it but still don't agree. Some people want UGA/UF/UT/Bama/Au/LSU etc. to all hold hands in a circle and sing kumbaya about how great our conference is. I don't. F everyone else that isn't Georgia. Auburn is Georgia's 2nd biggest rival in the SEC, why should I care if bad things happen to them? [In a hypothetical situation] if they were to lose scholarships, bowl games, wins, etc... that is in NO way bad for UGA, in fact that would be a very great thing.
