If both become successful in the NFL, similar to Jalen Hurts?

Does it count for OU like it counts for Bama?

Why shouldn't Alabama claim a GRADUATE of the University?

I'd say it's up to Williams and Rattler.

Jalen Hurts claims both:

He can claim both, but only one fan base can claim him. It’s awkward when the ex girlfriend shows up to the funeral.

When did that rule go into effect? Dude did great things while at both schools. Graduated from both schools.

And everybody better get used to this... because it is pretty commonplace now and more high level guys are going to have similar paths.

Jalen Hurts is Alabama with a side of Oklahoma. Hurts’ maturity and discipline came from Bama and he used those skills for his great season at OU.

What is the big deal? He graduated from Alabama.

I claim both schools I attended - my BA + MA and another school for a MS.

You must not have gone to college.

I will allow a Rattler claim. He spent just as much time on the field at OU and had bigger moments there.

Williams, however, went 5-2 as a starter including the Alamo Bowl before he made a business decision and took his talents to LA.

In theory, both Bama and OU can make a statue of Hurts, right? I would say yes

Hurts is different because he graduated from bama, I believe Burrow graduated from Ohio State as well. But if you just passed through for a year or two, nah the last team is the one that claims you.

They both started in Norman and had their moments so yeah I’d claim em. Caleb gotta quit crying and painting his nails though. California can change you, and not for the better.

I always thought the last school they attend should claim 95% of the athlete and his pro success. The first school can claim the left over 5% in spectator mode. We’ve had plenty of Ags leave and be successful elsewhere. But we tend to only claim the ones we put out. I think it’s different circumstances for every team. Guys didn’t transfer before like they do now.

Graduating has nothing to do with it - ask Georgia.

Hurts played most of his career with Bama. Therefore it is justifiable they claim him.

Williams played most of his career with USC. Wouldn’t surprise me if OU tried to claim him. But it’s equivalent to Ohio State trying to claim Joe Burrow or Quinn Ewers.

Neither (Burrow/Ewers) played any meaningful snaps, or played at all at OSU. You got a dose of Spence and CW in the same game!

A. They both left OU for better opportunities like an ex girlfriend. Reiley left and they both jumped ship (unlike Hurts at Bama who was competing against another current NFL starter).

B. Sounds like Texas Tech should definitely claim Baker off that logic.
