I think Mullen has no idea what has happened since 7-0 last year and has no idea how to fix it.

I think he has lost motivation to be honest. And since that 7-0 start they are 1-6

The only OSU could get on offense was a QB read/run. That was majority of their offense.

What does that say for your defensive coordinator and your defensive ends and outside LBs ? You MSU fans just cannot take off your maroon and white spectacles... Yall don't even try to.

They should be fed up. Mullens play calling is a puzzle....just dont understand. Read my posts and you will see someone who thinks running the ball is the way to win....BUT I also know what a reality check is...down two scores and keep plodding along? He has been doing that for a while and not just OSU. Did the ghost of coaches past get to him at MSU? Be prepared for more of the same.

I agree with this. His entire goal was to use MSU as a stepping stone. However, was 7-0 last year, and still wasn't getting any nibbles. I think now he's pulling a Nutt and just trying to figure out how to get out of all this.
Probably doesn't help that the six losses were all to six good, highly motivated teams.

Going for the field goal down 21-3 with 8 mins left was pure genius

Actually agreed w/ the FG call, needed to cut it to two scores, and would eventually need one regardless, so with 4th and long, seemed like a good idea. Of course helps to make it.

He was talking about the 4th down and 15 right before halftime... That was probably the most puzzling call of the entire college football weekend... Especially when you have a QB that stands back there and takes sacks like engie takes money shots.

Icant remember the series but I know it was in the first half. Seemed like 3 straight option read plays right off right or left guard. Couldn't believe it. You guys were controlling the game but only had the 3 points. I couldn't believe the play calling ., Was really pulling for the Dawgs. You would think some changes would be made.

Seriously... outside of those who want to troll, anybody could see that MSU had the talent to win.

Play calling went stupid. Who in their right mind will run 15 plays in 4 series and only throw it 3 times. 12 rushing plays in 4 series.

I'm glad people are pissed and I am glad to hear Mullen is going to act.

I agree with you. I believe that a game like yesterday where you only come up with 3 points when the Dawgs had been controlling the line of scrimmage will force Mullen to make some changes and sooner than later, IMO.

What baffles me is the total commitment to run the ball. After that first drive, we called 12 rushing plays out of 15. Ran it until they were loading the box.

It wouldn't baffle anyone else. Y'all can't pass. Y'all aren't a good team.

I have been flipping through the various Dawg State meltdowns, and no one is willing to embrace this simple fact.

Its a bunch of bullshite about how they have the talent to play with anyone, but the coaching staff inexplicably picks the wrong play in most critical situations. Joe SixPack on his couch could make simple adjustments and this team would be winning.

Whatever happened to: We are historically one of the bottom three teams in the SEC, and this year is no exception. We don't have the athletes to compete?

One way to look at it is the number of players from MSU currently in the NFL: 12. Okie State has 19. Seems to be like they have historically better athletes, and a better team.
