Yep, too much on the line in this game for Texas.

They are like 1-14 against ranked teams in the last 3 years. I wouldn't be overly concerned from them "playing up" to the moment.

Well I think we shouldn't be ranked as of right now. I just still haven't convinced myself that Ole Miss will go into to Austin and leave with a win.

I didn't, before last night. Texas usually comes out strong until they play Oklahoma, and then they spiral out of control. Mack seems to be working his magic early this year

Ole Miss might score 120pts, and win by a margin of a safety, but yeah I think they win.

Some good points about Mack having a history of recovering from losses. Something to think about there.

I'm wondering if the players, or the majority of them, will be as fired up as you think. IF there is dissension in the staff, they might not be. Conventional wisdom and the competitive nature of athletes says they will though. But teams do give up (see AR 2012)

For us to win, we need to jump on them early. They'll come out inspired, trying to win one for the gipper. If we jump out to a lead and put some pressure on whoever they put at qb I hope that's enough to deflate whatever inspirational speech they get before the game.

Also everyone dont discount that ole miss will be playing for revenge just as much as Texas will be playing for a bounce back. Our players really turned the corner after that game last year.

What exactly about your season, or last season for that matter, has made you think you can beat any team that is actually trying and not just getting paid to come be a whipping post?

Before last night, I would've given us a 25% chance of winning. After what I saw last night, It's gone up to 50%...Which means, I have no idea. Could go either way.

Who knows what teams will show up? College football teams can look lost one week and look like world-beaters the next. I certainly hope the team that played the last half of last season shows up, but my gut says they handle us pretty easily.

But you're one of the Black Bear fans that thinks you'll beat Texas A&M, huh? I don't see how y'all don't think you're capable of beat a team that just gave up 550 yards rushing... yet think you're half way decent. Again. 550 yards rushing...

You really consider Austin a home field advantage?

Like I've said NUMEROUS times, their last major nonconference win at home was...wait for it...TCU in 2007.
