Watching the Sugar Bowl last night I got the impression that the game meant a lot to the UGA coaching staff. Winning without your best players is a testament to good coaching. Congrats to Kirby and his staff on that account.

I don’t get it either.

40+ wins and an SEC title in the first 4 years of a coach’s tenure is an absolute dream scenario for maybe 12/14 schools in this conference

My bad. 1/9/12. It’s not permanently etched in my memory the way it is yours

Yeah, it does! I don’t mind demanding more. He needs to demand more from his offense. The defense won the majority of the games by stopping the other team despite the offense going three and out on a consistent basis.

Demand more from a shitty OC or coach up the receivers. Our offensive line sucked to be so highly touted. LSU REALLY SHOWED HOW GOOD WE WERE!! He finally threw his receiving core under the bus after that game.

Can’t be more than 10 coaches in the history of College Football with a Rose and Sugar Bowl trophy.

You’re conflating what he says publicly in a press conference to fans and media with what he is actually doing throughout the week. He rags on the defense because everyone else tells them they’re incredible; he’s counterbalancing their accolades by demanding they work harder. It’s basic motivation.

Similarly, he’s not going to publicly shite on an offense that is already catching plenty of hell from fans and media alike. It’s a quick way for a bad unit to get even worse, not to mention Kirby is partially to blame for the roster management on that side of the ball.

Coaches aren’t obligated to tell fans what they want to hear in press conferences. If you want to know what he really thinks and what he’s telling guys behind closed doors, pony up some serious money and you’ll be able to find out.

Urban Meyer and Bob Stoops are the only two who come to mind

Add Saban to the list as well, won a Rose Bowl back in 2009 when they beat Texas

Why do you dumbfricks continually do this? Repeat after me:WE DIDN'T FIRE THE MARK RICHT WHO COACHED THE FIRST
7 YEARS AT GEORGIA.

Because we're comparing the first four years of their tenure. That's all we have to go on. They've produced nearly identical records in their first seasons. Of course Smart had the luxury of being left Sony Michel and Nick Chubb.
BTW, Richt in his 12th year was 5 yards from going to 'ship where he would have destroyed ND for a title.
One more little thing: Kirby MUST win the SEC next year to match Richt's record of titles.

It's all we have to go on at this point. Smart inherited a better situation than Richt but has not out performed him. Both enjoyed playing Florida while it was relatively down but Tennessee was still a factor. Really Smart has only outperformed Richt vs Florida.

But, if it makes you feel better to think Kirby is the next Saban, go ahead and live your fantasy. Pray that Kirby figures out that he needs to modernize the offense.

What? No you don't...you have an entire coaching career that spans 15 years at UGA
in 2 at Miami.

Once AGAIN,THATS NOT THE CMR THAT WAS FIRED.How many times do I have to say this?

So how come you NEVER want to compare Kirby's first 4 years of being a HC to Sabans 1st four years or Miles 1st four years as HC.

Wow,picking out ONE year in his last 7.
Do you have any idea how bad our recruiting had fallen off? Did you see what Bama did to us in '15? Did you watch us almost lose to Georgia Southern in OT?

Our recruiting classes from '10 to '13 produced less NFL draft picks than SEVEN SEC teams including Arkansas and OM.In the
2017 NFL draft no state produced more NFL draft picks than Georgia (27) and not ONE of those kids signed with UGA.Our '13 recruiting class was as bad as any class we've had in the last 25 years.

What? And CMR didn't win ONE SEC title after that. If Kirby goes 10 years w/out an SEC title then we can talk.

Let's get back to losing asst coaches.Kirby has lost his 3 best assistants in the last year and still won 12 games and will finish in the top 5.I would LOVE to see how coach O does if he loses Aranda,Brady and Ensminger in the same year. What say you?

What's funny to me is the guy in year 4 ever being a head coach has beaten Mullen's teams at MSU and UF, Gus, Riley, Gary Paterson, and now Matt Rhule.

Won a play off game and damn near one it all in only his second year. That amazing you dipshits.

We all know the dirty shite Meyer pulled at UF and OSU, so I would shut the frick up if I was a uf fan.

Auburn, y'all fricked with Gus and Nix so enjoy.
