Ben Tate shined under Malzahn's O and has been pretty damn good in the NFL despite injuries.

If 10 Career TD's is pretty damn good, Mark Ingram isn't a bust anymore with 11 career TD's

This is a serious question. I was a Manziel fan and I expected a big drop off after he left. First game with a new quarterback and they set records against a formidable defense. Just makes me think the last two years success may have more to do with the coach and system.

I'm sorry but I just don't think you did a very good job of watching the games if you think that JFF is a system QB simply b/c Kenny Hill did well.

Hill is a sophomore and had way more time to learn and grow in the system than JFF early on and plays the game completely different.

Why can't it just be that Kenny Hill is also a badass? shite, I had been hearing from players families (including Johnny's) and others close to the program that Hill was going to be a beast for over a year now.

and at calling SCAR's D formidable. Do you not realize what all they lost or that they had a ton of youth in the secondary?

If we are talking about passing then yes a lot of it was Sumlin's system. But what made Johnny the captivating player he was and what won him the heisman was his running and the way he could escape any situation. No quarterback I have ever seen could do the things Johnny could do.

According to 97% of the rant, JFF was the GOAT. Maybe we have GOAT 2 or it is the system.

The System answer is the one that scares people...

Seems unlikely, but stranger things have happened.

I said formidable not good. It's not like they're kentucky or a SWAC school.

Jackson, Arenas, Johnson, Menzie, Kirkpatrick, Milliner

All very good college players who don't look as good outside of Saban's system.

But yes, technical difficulties this year! Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

I'm not sure it devalues JFF directly but it certainly raises questions.

I'll say this though. Knowing what JFF and everyone else knows now, I bet JFF would have thought a lot harder about going to the NFL after last year.

After one game it's hard to make that assumption but JFF would have torched the USC defense too more than likely.

See, you can't have a good converstion with an aggie. They either want to get dramatic and over the top, or try to frick you in the arse.
