What is this "resurgence" you speak of???? Jesus, the East sucked yet again last year. Does intention count now?

It's very possible that did happen. My experience at the game, fwiw, was very pleasant, before, during and after the game.

It did happen and it was hilarious. I loved turning his backhanded compliment right back in his face. It was very satisfying.

SC will never win anything of significance except some bowls.... SC fans should be happy with that even if the window is closed.

Their best chance was in 84. Then they lost to a service academy.

So the East was as bad as it has ever been, and you're calling that a resurgence? Do you know what resurgence means?

I'll give a serious reply to a troll thread, despite the fact that I know it's pretty useless.

The window is closed with Spurrier, most likely. But I don't expect the program to go all Titanic and hit an iceberg when he retires. I think we'll be aight when it's time to replace HBC.

Honestly, what is your expectation as a SC fan every year?

Honestly varies from year to year, depending on what is on the team. Last year I was pretty vocal in the fact that I thought that USC team was going to struggle. I posted that on the SC board, and everyone thought I was crazy. Then, the team was shite. There wasn't much in the way of leadership on that team, at any position.

This year, I fully expect 8-5, at worst. Outside shot at 10 wins. There's more talent on the team, particularly at D. Will that translate into victories? I don't know. But there were no fewer than three games last year that USC pissed away because the defense was dogshit. I'm still not sure about internal leadership, though.

I genuinely think, moving into the future, USC's floor is 8 wins, with a ceiling of 12 if everything falls into place. A losing in-conference record is pretty well inexcusable from here on out.

Agreed. Obvious troll thread but yes, I do believe the window has closed with Spurrier....

We'll be fine. We've never won a national championship in football so you can't miss what you never had.

To: Tennessee fans suddenly concerned with SC...

Life will go on.. Williams Brice will still be a fun gameday, our program will continue to grow, we'll find a good head coach post-Spurrier, we'll be competitive in the East some years, SC fans will continue to look forward to baseball after January and eventually Men's basketball....

signed - All SC fans..

I'm pretty sure we were 7-6 and right alongside UT last year. Idiot.

Yes, but that is great year for USC Lite and a mediocre year for us.

Idiot? You mean like the one that had rings made for an 11 win season?

Did you miss the part where every Gamecock fan, ever, was furious at last year's outcome? If that's a "Great" year for us, the vast majority of us didn't get the memo.

But hey, thanks for filling us in on our own program.

You have had more losing seasons than you have 7-6 years. You're about 3 seasons above being a bellow .500 team lifetime.

You have NEVER won anything.

We're well aware. Doesn't change the fact that one fanbase is pissed over last year's record, while another wears orange and jerks off in the shower to it.
