The frick? You do realize that Ohio State had the best record and ranking, right? The question wasn't who would play LSU, it was who would play Ohio State. There was only ever room for one more team (LSU, USC, UGA). Honestly, Georgia was the third choice--the voters would have put USC in the game over UGA.
UGA fans love to perpetuate this myth but there is literally no circumstance in which they deserved to be in that game.
