Alabama is built to stop the run. 146 yards rushing against them is a great accomplishment.

I like Chubb, and I am glad that he broke that Record, but that had to have been the most unimpressive 146 yard rushing performance of all time.

It is a shame that Chubb didn't play the first half of that game. Imagine what his numbers would look like.

Would require Uga to win out with a win over a top 5 uf and chubb carrying the team.

Absolutely. Don't take this the wrong way UGA fans, but the late game long TD run that was kinda pointless kept his yardage where it needed to be in terms of the Heisman. He's a stud.

I am trying to remember the last Heisman winner whose team got absolutely demolished during the season once.

Eric Crouch 2001- lost 62-36 in Big 12 Championship game
Jason White 2003 - lost 35-10 in the Big 12 Championship game
RGIII 2011 - lost back to back games 55-28 and 59-24

Yes. He put up good numbers vs Alabama. He'll need a "Heisman moment" though to win it.

What does "Fournette coming back to earth" look like exactly? 125 yards/game?

He has an insane YPG average against bad defenses and with a QB that averages like 50 yards per game. It is hard to picture him doing this for an entire season without getting injured or his stats declining.

Having said that, I don't see his YPG average going below 170 or so. The Heisman is his to lose. Chubb would have to start ripping off 200 yard games soon, and I don't see that happening.

Yeah, I agree. At the end of the year, not many will remember that it was an 83 yard TD run late in a blowout. They will just see yardage. Nevermind the fact that he had 19 carries for 63 yards the rest of the game. If he blows it up the rest of the year then he'll be at the ceremony. But Fournette is going to run away with it.

RG3's team got the shite kicked out of them in 2011 if I recall. Ironically tyrann mathieu SHOULD HAVE won it that year

2015 - the ceremony is a formality if fournette rips bama for a minimum of 100 and LSU wins.
