Does Chubb still have an outside Heisman shot?

Obviously it will require Fournette coming down to Earth, but let's say Chubb runs the streak through the end of the season, with a couple of 200+ thrown in there in big games (maybe UF, AU) and Georgia wins the East. Does he have a shot despite the pasting Saturday? I am trying to remember the last Heisman winner whose team got absolutely demolished during the season once.

I only ask this because the media made such a big deal about the streak that it seemed like a bigger story than 38-10.

LF is still the favorite but Chubb can still have a run at it. If LF has a great game against Bama and continues throughout the season then Chubb is out.

He'll be propelled back into the Heisman race after this weekend.

barring injury Fournette aint losing this Heisman. just go ahead and cut this shite out before yall get someones hopes up and end up hurting their feelings later. on second thought, its uga fans. Chubb is so awesome he probably gonna win 2 Heismans this year.

The streak won't mean shite if UGA drops another game or two.

I don't think any of our fans have him pegged as the favorite right now, but it doesn't mean he's not a really good player. He'll have to go off for the rest of the season to give himself a chance, but if we somehow win the SEC, I think you'd have to say he has a chance.

Also, I think RG3 got waxed by A&M and OK St. the year he won.

This. Only chance is for Fournette to have a slip and UGA to have an unbelievable close to the season with some really dominant performances. I don't see that out of this team (not impossible, just highly improbable). If Bama causes Fournette to have a pedestrian day, then it may somewhat level the playing field a bit, but only if Chubb has some more really standout games (thinking UF, UT, Mizzou) in addition to keeping the streak alive.

I think most UGA fans that you poll would voluntarily give up any shot at the Heisman to have a strong close to the season though, including Chubb himself. Particularly after that drumming.

We aren't even halfway into the season, Of course he still has a shot. I think Grayson Lambert's Heisman campaign is over though

If he keeps it up, he'd still be in NYC for the ceremony which is all anyone is really expecting at this point.

You can give Chubb a Heisman but can you give the Heisman a Chubb?

Fournette has 119 yards more than Chubb right now...and Chubb has played one more game...

What does "Fournette coming back to earth" look like exactly? 125 yards/game?

He had 146 against bama that's hard to do. Yes he is still in the thick of things no doubt about it and UGA still have plenty games for him to shine in...

Of cours it doesnt. The Heisman is fricking garbage these days. Its more akin to a Presidential campaign than a true evaluation of on-field accomplishments.

As an LSU and Fournette fan, people shitting on Chubb Saturday were idiots. I get that some were trolling, but some people honestly believed that he choked or that the game was an indication of his ability, which is absurd. He's unbelievably good.

He'll have to break Herschel's season high to have a chance.

I like Chubb, and I am glad that he broke that Record, but that had to have been the most unimpressive 146 yard rushing performance of all time.

I think LF is the man to beat. IF he falters enough to lose the South vote, it depends on what others do. One of them will carry the South. LF will carry the Northeast. Who carries the West and Midwest will be the difference.
