Nope. I like who we got.

Other than Saban, he'd probably be the second best head coach in the SEC, Maybe high school would be above him. Mullen?

I don't think Saban makes this hire if he hasn't demonstrated that he can manage this appropriately for the past four months.
This was pretty much what I was trying to convey. Too many automatic haters to discuss rationally.

I like to mess with Bama fans on here, but all kidding aside, I really hope that Sark keeps it together. My concern is the stress that he will be under as Saban's OC and I don't think it is conducive to a successful recovery from addiction. Four months is nowhere near a long enough period of time for Sark to stabilize. Also, his #1 priority has to be his recovery and unless Saban has changed, his expectations are that his goals for the team are the #1 priority. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think Sark will be able to hold it together and stay sober while working under Saban.

There's a flip side. This opportunity is a huge incentive for Sark to keep himself on track. Saban's top priority is the team, but that also makes Sark's success professionally and personally a top priority for Saban too. Saban will ensure Sark is well supported. I figure Sark's got a lot of people pulling for him, helping keep the pressure at a manageble level, and praying for him. I'm optimistic that this will go well for him and Bama.

Apples to oranges. O was part of that Carroll success too. O hiring Sark or Joey Seawater would have been like a reunion of sorts.

So in other words yes y'all wanted some of that sloppy second success as well.

Someone from Louisiana making fun of a recovering alcoholic? Pot, meet kettle.

I'm sure Saban has good intentions. I just hope he understands what "support" means. If Sark needs to go to a recovery meeting on a night Saban wants a staff meeting, will Nick understand that he needs to let him go? That would be my concern.

He has to take solace in the likelihood that 21 points will win almost all games, he has to know that Saban will be Saban and he will not pull any punches, knowing this going in should prepare him, I'm not saying that he won't drink, I just don't think it will be because of Nick Saban

Well if you want put it that way, LSU got Michigan State's sloppy seconds and Bama got Michigan State's sloppy fourths.
