There's nothing irrational about thinking AU has a great shot at taking the West next year. The West winner has been to and won the NC game 5 out of the last 6 years.
Our only big loss is Dee Ford. He will be replaced with Carl Lawson and Daniel. We also get Whit back for a year and have some linebacker help coming in.
Our backfield will be sick with Tre, Cory, Payne and Roc. Plus Barber and Ford.

Don't forget that Jake "speed bump" Holland graduates as well.. That alone should improve our defense by light years.
