AU has the best shot out of the West next year due to the QB losses. It would be cool to be the first SEC team to go in the playoff format.

Why do you say that? A&M, LSU, and Bama all lose 1st/2nd round QBs. AU returns everyone on offense except a fullback that isn't used, and most of the defense(Jake Holland gone!!).
There's nothing irrational about thinking AU has a great shot at taking the West next year. The West winner has been to and won the NC game 5 out of the last 6 years.
