Probably doesn't affect Auburn too much.

According to 538, if Auburn wins out and Bama loses to LSU, there is a 64% chance that Auburn makes the playoff. If Auburn wins out and Alabama beats LSU on Saturday, then there is a 70% chance of making the playoff.

So Auburn fans- does the extra 6% chance of making the playoff cause you to root for Bama on Saturday?

There's no bait on your hook anymore. It's pretty rusty too.

I think with tamu getting the nod for the fourth spot and auburn being so high already, auburn needs to root for the most sound path to atl
1)win out
2)hope Bama loses iron bowl and LSU
3) hope tamu ends up dropping another game

The three way tie is not currently in auburns favor. If tamu wins out it will make auburns loss look better (and the same goes for beating an unbeaten Bama) but it will put is in a 3 way tie for the west which auburn is likely to lose.

This. All I care about is Arkansas beating UF, and MSU beating A&M

From my perspective we need them to win and beat them ranked #1.

I'm pulling for the other tigers. If LSU loses they won't be as motivated against A&M. Fournette will start saving himself for the draft if he's not playing for anything.

AU's best bet to get to Atlanta is Bama to beat LSU and LSU to beat A&M. Without Atlanta AU watches the playoff on TV. Oh yeah they would have to beat Bama too, Nevermind.

I obviously would feel more comfortable with another LSU loss, but only thing we're actively interested in outside of our own games is A&M losing another.

I would prefer that Bama lose twice (LSU and Auburn) as I will admit to not wanting to have to beat them twice (21-0).
A one loss Bama team is in the playoffs.

I also need TAMU to lose to either Ole Miss or LSU.

ETA: We own the tie breaker with LSU, so we do not need LSU to lose again. Geaux Tigers...

I would think they would be cheering for the Tide to take care of business. There are some weird things going on this season.

Nah, Auburn hates Bama too much to pull for them. Plus, its to Auburn's advantage if LSU wins. Auburn still needs A&M to lose another game to have a shot at the West and LSU is A&M's toughest game left. LSU having a shot to win the West going into the last week of the season gives a little more motivation for them to beat A&M.

If LSU and Auburn both win out, Auburn goes to SECCG and can get into playoffs by winning in Atlanta. Both 2 loss teams, but Auburn holding advantage in head to head and being conference champion gets AU into playoffs over LSU.

If Bama beats LSU, but loses a close game to Auburn...Bama could still sneak into the playoffs somehow...especially if Washington and/or Clemson loses a game.

Auburn still needs an A&M loss. LSU would be more fired up going into the A&M game if they still had a shot to win the West.

I'm pulling for the cajun tigers to beat Bama and A&M.. A one-loss Bama could still possibly make the playoffs. I like our chances in one game but not if there was a rematch in the playoffs.. LSU can relate to that.

That's the key point for me in favor of LSU vs Bama. I'm less worried on who we'll play in the playoffs than I am actually getting there

I don't care either way.

I kinda want Bama to win in a screw job kind of way to see the LSU melt.

fffffrick no. Only thing I'm cheering for is a giant sinkhole to swallow up that West Vance turd pile into the pits of hell. I mean that in the nicest possible way. :^)
