If we get Bruce Pearl or some other big name, you can argue Auburn has the best combination in the big 3 sports of football, baseball, and men's basketball. Malzahn, Sunny Galloway, and Pearl would be a tough combination for any other SEC school to beat Don't care how good Florida is at ping pong or raquetball

There is no big 3, there is football and everything else.

What penalties did Tennessee get as a result of Pearl's action? I know they did not receive a post season ban. I don't believe they lost any scholarships either. That is all I care about. I don't care if Pearl get some stupid show cause penalty from the NCAA. The whole case was pretty much of a joke imo

Of course you don't care. The guy can coach. He's also a rat and a habitual cheat. But I don't doubt he'll bring the crowds in Auburn.

Jacobs does a good job of bringing in people who have been booted out of other SEC schools for illegal activities. No doubting that.

What in the world does this have to do with Bruce Pearl?

That statement leads me to believe you have no idea who Bruce Pearl is or what he did.

That statement leads me to believe you are as moronic as I suspected.

Please list all of Bruce Pearl's illegal activities.

I'd be shocked if BP took a glass ceiling gig like Auburn..even for a Brinks truck.

He'll be offered a true potential platform eventually, and probably in the next two years..

Mizzou if fire Haith in next season or so, is a huge platform, especially with Pearl's familiarity with recruiting Chicago, St Lou, and other assorted Midwest states.

And unlike some HCs that are fits for only say Seaboard schools, West coast schools, Midwest, SW,etc..BP has recruiting prowess, a style of ball, and personality, that I could see working in a myriad of conferences.

NCAA violations are in their essence, illegal. Are they not? But that's all conjecture and splitting hairs. But then again, you seem to be the angry type.

My guess is that most bammers are pissed that Bruce Pearl will not be their coach next year.

Alabama can't afford to hire someone like him. No matter what he actually did while at Tennessee. We aren't exactly squeaky clean with the NCAA since 2002. He's an excellent coach though.

He probably wouldn't go to Bama either, but if paid top dollar, with Saban Spillover Effect in progress in TTown, and proxy to Atlanta,etc..

I could see BP at Bama over Auburn..though think he above either job.

Mizzou is a sleeping giant..could get back to Norm Stewart glory under a BP..Haith's time there is short.

Alabama may be the better job, but Auburn has shown more commitment with their new arena. When Grant is finally fired next year, we will have to go the "mid-major" route again.
