Is this when they first got him? He was pretty big when I saw him last season.

It' s TUSK plus roman numerals after the name.

I remember a few years ago, one of the ARKY' s announced
Tusk II or III had died on here, and was very serious and emotional about it. I told him everyone would never Forget ole Tusk, especially after Jimmy Dean handed his carcass into the Sausage preperation room.....

Don't you have a BBQ after the last game of the year and have him as the headliner?

Good post for the most part, but Rupp Arena isn't on campus at the University of Kentucky. It's actually adjacent to, and essentially in the same building as the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Lexington and a goodly drive from UK's campus.

Well, I was 11 years old. All I remember is it falling during the great blizzard, and us riding a bus from a hotel to Rupp every day. It was way too cold to go see the campus, and I just thought it was on campus.

Wow! That was twenty years ago! Good memory!

It was a great time. My little sister ended up not wanting to go, so we took my best friend instead. We got back to south Alabama and all our friends were telling us we missed the snow. I think they got a few inches, maybe. There were feet of snow in Kentucky that weekend. We actually couldn't fly out on time, and almost missed our connection in Atlanta. Actually I think we did but there was one more flight going back to Dothan that night and they had room for us.

Interesting that you mention flying to Dothan. My sister had just moved to Dothan to be an airline attendant for Northwest Airlink around that time. Now the whole famn-damily lives there except for my wife and me. Sis' later wound up as Movie Gallery's HR manager, her husband runs Play-It-Again Sports on the west side of the Circle near 84.

Lotsa LSU connections in Dothan too!
