The combined margin of victory over the last 3 games in the series is a whopping 18 pts or an average of 6pts per game.

I see UT winning this game. Unless we can hit Worley early and often or our DBs play a lot better. Lord knows they cant get any worse.

I see UGA running away with. I stil think UGA is the best team in the east. South Carolina will lose to Auburn giving them 2 losses so I still think UGA will end up in ATL.

I will start up two kickstarters. One for UT fans and one for UGA fans. This game rests in the balance.

My opinion:

UT/UGA

QB - WASH
RB - UGA
WR - UT
OLINE - UGA

D-Line - WASH
LB - WASH
DB - UT

ST - WASH? Probably more UGA

thoughts?

My thoughts are that UGA missionary styles y'all before rolling you over and putting y'all in the dawg.

I was confused about what to put for LB. We both have solid units back there

The Vols are thirteenth in the conference in total offense and dead last in offensive yards per play . UGA is 4th in the SEC in Defensive ydg allowed per play & 5th in ttl defense. Not bad considering 2 of the teams played were Clemson & SCe...

On the Offensive side UGA is 3rd in the SEC in Offensive yds per play & 5th in ttl Offense

I get that the Georgia secondary is a weak link, but when the Dawgs are averaging better than three yards a play more than the Vols, it’s hard to see why there’s so much pessimism about this game.

Remember, this is all on paper, against uncommon opponents. If the game was played on paper, ya'll win easy. But the last three years give me a different inclination.

We've only played 3 games whereas everyone else has 4 due to our bye. We've also only had two cupcakes whereas many others have had 3 cupcakes. Offense isn't going to look great in that scenario. Interesting thing though, we actually won the time of possession battle against OU - that's how strange some of the plays were and where their points came from (our errors - INT, Pick 6 and a very controversial call that should've been ruled a fumble and our ball - FWIW, former NFL rules guy tweeted out that yep it was a fumble).

UGA has only played 3 games also, playing Clemson, SCe & only 1 cupcake. Our Offensive #'s are stellar & our Defensive #'s are pretty damn good seeing who we've played, so that makes the quoted stats even more skewed in UGA's favor, IMO...

Perhaps so. All I know is that our offense isn't nearly as bad as that stat would have you believe and that's even factoring in a woeful OL. As the old saying goes, "there are lies, damn lies, and statistics."
