So is beating Missouri while they win the division the pinnacle for UGA football now?

Um, 6 division titles I guess? Or 12 of the last 20 over Auburn?

It's just UGA. Don't be offended by their aggression. Their whole "all bark, no bite" mentality has cheapened their ruputation over the years.

I for one have never felt more proud than that time we beat Mizzou back in 2014. On that day, we stood alongside Indiana in our defeat of the enviable Mizzou program. Neither the win over a top 10 LSU team the year before nor a win over a ranked Clemson team earlier in the season could stand up to beating mighty Mizzou. Mopping Auburn's blood off the floor later that year? Nuh uh. Mizzou game, all the way.

You sure are spending a lot of energy on Mizzou in this thread for all this faux indifference you profess

Well, Tee keeps dodging the whole 12-of-20-over-Auburn thing and Mizzou is an easy target. And UGA baseball is about to take it the Aggy way up the rear so I have to pick on someone before I get depressed

You sound like a scared little bitch trying to find a way to escape your daddy. It's okay, Saban will retire in 10 or so years.

How is getting back to playing traditional rivals in Florida and Tennessee sounding scared.

We would also play Alabama and Georgia every single year in this scenario. We would only lose LSU from the West.

Auburn would then have to play Florida, Alabama, UGA and Tennessee every single year.

That doesn't seem like escaping anyone's "daddy" right now.

SEC WON'T break up teams from the same state. Miss./MSU, Tenn./Vandy, & Ala./Aub. will be partnered in the same division or pod (whatever we go with). Their in-state games won't be dropped nor played OOC.
Also, moving Aub. ends either the Iron Bowl or 3rd Sat. In Oct. - & I HIGHLY DOUBT the SEC will do tat NOR make it a non-conf. game.

Does Mizz. NOT belong in the East? HELL YEAH!!! But what can you do with 14 teams that makes both divisions balanced?

I still see us going to pods in the near future.

UGA is just scared that Auburn/Florida would turn into a larger rivalry than the Cocktail Party.

It's a tough situation. There are really 3 options : Destroy the cross-division game, go to 9 conference games, move Auburn and/or Alabama to the East.

- Alabama and Auburn don't want to lose their games with Georgia and Tennessee. That is an acceptable position.

- Georgia, South Carolina and Florida don't want to go to 9 games because they already have a defacto 9th game against Georgia Tech, Clemson and Florida State. This then means if they play another OOC big game (Notre Dame, North Carolina, Michigan) then they are now at 11 P5 games. That is an acceptable position.

- The East doesn't want to give up Missouri and, say, Vanderbilt for Alabama and Auburn. The East would be a super division with 5 of the big 6 and we'd beat the living hell out of eachother while LSU licks their chops in the West. That is an acceptable position.

So, basically, we get back to the status quo.

Not necessarily. Ala. gets to decide between you or TN as a yearly game.

Who says you have to drive? Last time I went to an A&M/Auburn game in Auburn I flew. Last I checked, Delta fliess non-stop from Atlanta to Houston, Austin, DFW, and San Antonio; and SW flies non-stop from B-Ham to Dallas and Houston. All pretty cheap too.

It ain't complicated.

And I'm sorry but College Station is a lot nicer than Auburn/Opelika. I bet you've never been to College Station, have you?
