I was wondering the same. Think they were putting a big emphasis on the pitching staff.

a series loss, at home, is never a good thig, but the rest of the SEC is just finding out what most (ones that had a clue) LSU fans were expecting before the season. LSU replaced 8 bats in the lineup from last year's team. I don't care who you are, that's not going to be a situation where you should expect to be a great team. I liken LSU this year to Florida a few years back. They went from a college world series team to finishing 29-30 the next year because they lost 6 or 7 positional starters. LSU has a lot of talent still, but it's very young talent.

I'm going to have to ask you to take your calm rationality and realistic thinking somewhere else sir.

This happens for Alabama football, Kentucky basketball, and LSU baseball.

They have whipped and owned LSU in everything. Discuss.

Serious question: when is the last time Arkansas beat Alabama? 2005?

We aren't. Saban is an easy win for us.

Pitching. Pitching was supposed to be elite, particularly the starters. However, the pitching has been an extreme disappointment, just to say it nicely.

Bad series loss for LSU at home.

Any series loss at home is bad for LSU. Best home winning percentage in the SEC more often than not. Lange appears to be mired in a Sophomore slump. Compute that with 8 of 9 new everyday starters and you get a talented but inconsistent group. Still think they'll see steady improvement and eventually qualify for post-season but possibly not a hosting year.

My self-esteem is taking a big hit. I was chastised at the Albertsons in Lafayette this morning while wearing an LSU sweatshirt.

I had to put on my sunglasses and make a quick exit. I think I'm gonna have to move out of this town.

I will say, Bama winning this series isn't good for the fire Gaspard crowd.

It's cycles.

LSU owned Alabama from 2000-2011 (9-3) in football,
Basketball we have held our own since 2000.
Baseball we have owned them since Skip Bertman, including the 1997 NC game.
Gymnastics and Softball (traditionally strong for Bama) have been challenged by LSU the last few years.
LSU took over Golf last year.
Track we have always onwed them.

Seems like they owe us some too.......
