Not mathematically possible. You claim that the 2021 Longhorns were the worst team in your lifetime. When I said that you must have been born in 1998 or later, you AGREED.

If you were born in 1998 or later, that means that you would have been 12 years old when you were a freshman in college.

OR

You lied about not being alive during the 1997 Longhorns season and were actually born around 1992 and alive for seasons of 6-5 (1992), 5-5-1 (1993) and 4-7 (1997) as well as during the Cheryl Hopwood case (1996).

Which is it?

Everyone bookmark this post please. We have our first aggie fan admitting they are not a blue blood.

Link to any Aggy ever saying we are a "blue blood."

Blue Blood = 800 or more wins. A&M has 766.

You're right on that, as that was my bad. I thought it read 1988 (hadn't had enough coffee yet that morning).

I still believe that the 2021 Texas team is still the worst in my lifetime, probably because I was 4-5 years old when the 1997 season occurred and we didn't lose to Kansas at home.

Still, I am quite flattered that you pay attention to each one of my posts this closely. It in no way shows that your feelings are hurt when I constantly bring up that you and most of the aggie posters here were denied admission from the University of Texas at Austin

Not sure where you got that idea but either way aTm can win 800+ games and will never be considered a blueblood. The state of Texas has and will only have one and that will always be Texas.

The 1997 Kansas Jayhawks went 5-6. They had a better record than t.u. that season. How pathetic is it that your crowning achievement that season was keeping Kansas from being bowl-eligible?

They were the one team you beat in conference that had a better record than you did (Oklahoma went 4-8)

Surely most of these Aggie posters were top 10%. That's all it takes.

From April 1997 (when I was in school at A&M)

Why Texas A&M is the best public university in Texas

quote:

Cover story: Did You Hear the One About The New Aggies?

They overcame politics, poverty, isolation, and Old Aggies to make Texas A&M the state’s academic powerhouse.

Also, it's denied admission TO, not denied admission FROM. You are admitted TO things. You are released FROM things.

Crowning achievement? All I said was that I didn't consider it worse than this year.

How pathetic is it that A&M's crowning achievement as a football program is beating Alabama 2 times in 10 tries? I mean, do y'all literally have anything to point to in terms of championships, or even playing for championships, that would be considered a crowning achievement?

Seriously? You're hinging on a Texas Monthly article from 1997 to make your point?

An entire magazine published when I was a student at A&M...at the time when A&M was the top public school in Texas. A magazine that caused almost every Texas Ex to go into a full-blown panic.

You claim every A&M student was unable to get into t.u. I provided proof otherwise.

I actually said "most"*, but it's super cute that your school is considered so pathetic now that you had to reach in the pile for an article from a quarter of a century ago

Or the fact that you're so enamored with my posting that you have an almanac of my posts from weeks ago.

No, you said "you and most". At least half of the A&M posters here graduated A&M before I did, many during the 90's when A&M was the top school.

Ray Bowen's Vision 2020 nonsense is what allowed t.u. to overtake A&M. The actions of Rick Perry and John Sharp made things worse.

Lol "yea, stupid sip! It's only because we have terrible leadership and academics, which is more of a reason than you being great!"

I am confused and maybe because I can not read the article and only see the title. But what does being the top public school in the state have to do with admission standards, acceptance rates, and whatnot.

Were they rated that way because of the overall student experience, which usually garners that distinction, and that upset the Texas alum to get upset because students were applying now to aTm as their first choice?

No, terrible leadership and academics are when you let unqualified individuals who are related to certain politicians in, denying admission to more qualified applicants as a result.

That article was from 2014, the year you "graduated", which calls into question whether or not you were actually qualified to attend...
