Do you truly believe a Pinkel coached Mizzou will become a bottom dweller?

People on the rant keep posting things like:

quote:

Once the traditional powers in the East are at full strength, Mizzou will be competing for last place.

quote:

Once the East regains it's footing, Mizzou will be down there with UK and Vandy.

Curious...does anyone honestly believe that Mizzou with Pinkel will suddenly become a bottom dweller with Kentucky and Vandy?

Traditional southern delusion is strong with you people.

Once Spurrier leaves South Carolina, they will be back down with Vandy and Kentucky. Mizzou will finish no worse than 4th in the East every year

Well, I wouldn't say bottom dweller, but Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee all have richer traditions and I think history shows that traditionally good teams may go through down periods but they'll eventually correct because the fanbases are too large to allow those programs to languish forever.

Mizzou and South Carolina are higher up than Vandy and UK, but they're not quite to the level of the top 3.

edit - he fixed the title.

Mizzou needs to be in the West. Try that.

Until then...everyone needs to quit bitching for now. You guys are lucky to be where you are.

Can't wait till logic prevails and Auburn can have these arguments in the SEC East where we rightfully belong.

Bottom dweller? No.

Unable to get back up to 1st/2nd? Sure. It can happen to anyone, but I suspect that it more likely happens after Pinkel retires. The next head football coach Mizzou hires will be the most important hire in Mizzou football history.

This is very true. I think that we have about 5 more years of GP remaining. I think Pinkel will be the reason why MIzzou's next coach will be great. He has created a winning culture and brought about better facilities and relationships.
