The first game in person for me was in August 1967 - a preseason game between Washington, then named Redskins, and the NY Giants. Played in Raleigh at Carter-Finley Stadium.
First pro game I remember seeing on TV - Dec 1965 between the Baltimore Colts and the GB Packers. Packers won kicking a FG to end the game. I still believe the kick was wide. I was a Colt fan because Jimmy Orr, former UGA player was on the team.
First college game on TV I remember - Dawgs vs. NCSU Dec 1967 in the Liberty Bowl. Jim Donnan was a QB on the NCSU team and they won 14-7.

First game I remember was Ole Miss Southwest La in 1987 though really had no concept of the game, the next year was 6 at OM Ark Sthad a better idea of what was going on including knowing it was going on including Pat Coleman returning a punt late in the 4th to put us ahead 25/22 for the win.

The first game I remember seeing in person was a home matchup in Jordan-Hare against Maryland in ‘83. Auburn ran for 450 yards in a win. On a side note, Michael Wilbon wrote the gamer for WAPO.

My first game was UT vs Tulsa in 74.
Stanley Morgan returned a punt for a TD with a minute left to seal it. The place went nuts. I was hooked for life.

Raiders vs Dolphins 1974. I was 6 or 7. A bunch of my brothers friends were watching the playoff game and my brother was the only one pulling for the Raiders. When they won with that last second touchdown seemed like he was surrounded by a sea of Dolphins when he caught it. 1st real game I remember.

My earliest memory is probably Punt Bama Punt - gawdammit- and maybe Bama losing to Notre Dame 24-23 in the Sugar Bowl at Tulane Stadium (that was the beginning of my hatred for Ara Parsegian and the domers). First live game I remember attending was Bama beating Virginia Tech 77-6 in Tuscaloosa. These are all 72-73ish. I was 7-8 years old.
Of course I watched dozens of NFL games and my dad and I rarely missed MNF with Cosell and Dandy Don Meredith. I had a notebook with my drawings of many NFL team helmets.

My first football game was between Arkansas and Oklahoma State in Stillwater when Lou Holtz was coach. My grandparents were hog fans and bought the tickets and my parents took me to go with them. I still have the program from the game.
