falls, look at this path to #1 for the Broncos in comparison to SEC schedules:

9/06 vs. Virginia Tech
9/18 @ Wyoming 8:00 PM
9/25 Oregon State TBA
10/02 @ New Mexico State TBA
10/09 Toledo TBA
10/16 @ San Jose State TBA
10/26 Louisiana Tech ESPN360.com 8:00 PM
11/06 Hawaii TBA
11/12 @ Idaho ESPN360.com 9:00 PM
11/19 Fresno State ESPN360.com 9:30 PM
11/26 @ Nevada ESPN360.com 10:15 PM
12/04 Utah State

Then again they may very well lose their opener against Va Tech and drop out of the top 10.

Yeah they'll lose to VT.. fall pretty far (especially if VT really takes it to them) BSU will probably run the schedule and work their way back into the top 15 but lose that 1st game and they can kiss their BCS hopes goodbye. After that they'll just be taking up space in the top 25.

It seems like Boise refuses to leave the smurf turf against good OOC opponents.

That away schedule is full of landmines. At Wyoming, New Mexico State, San Jose State, Idaho, and Nevada. Boise will be a strong team if they can go undefeated on the road as well at home because they end against Utah State.

No, the problem is that good OOC opponents, including virtually every team in the SEC, refuses to schedule them because apparently they are scared of losing to them.

So until they are willing to do so, they can all stop complaining about Boise State being ranked high.

I don't like it either, but it is not their fault that teams in BCS conferences run from them.....

So Virginia Tech and Oregon said yah we'll play you Boise State, but it has to be in Idaho. I seem to remember Florida contacting Boise about a home and home and Boise refusing

Last time Boise played an SEC team was UGA in 2005 they lost 48 - 13

Or maybe it's b/c no one wants to do a home and home at that shitty stadium

BSU has stepped into Dixieland 4 times and got its blue tail handed to them each time.

The only teams BSU has gone to lately are they 2 Oregon teams which they have done pretty well against. But they also lost to an average BC team at home in a bowl game.

I have a problem. They should be ranked about 10th and then we'll see how they perform. If they end up going undefeated, I would still probably only have them as high as maybe 7th, depending on other teams. It is an absolute travesty that they get away with what they do every year.

I wasn't there, but they probably said that they wanted a home-and-home and got resistance. They have earned the right at this point to being treated with the respect that a home-and-home would entail.

I seriously doubt they turned down a home-and-home with Florida, but if you can provide me with evidence that they did, then I will consider it.

Again, if you don't like their high ranking, there is a simple solution. Put your money where your mouth is and put them on the schedule.....or stop complaining. You cannot have it both ways. On the other hand, if several SEC schools offer them home-and-homes and they DO refuse, THEN they will be fair game......

Unlike a lot of teams Boise very well could fall in the rankings without losing games

They will have an easier time running the table and finishing top five but may have a harder time earning a #1 or #2 ranking than many BCS teams
