Basketball was a huge draw when I first got to Auburn in '99. Fell off a cliff when Ellis left.

If football is a 10, then basketball is a 9. I'll never miss watching a football game but I'll skip some basketball games if something is going in. That's partly because there are more games in a season though. Of course I grew up playing basketball and still play multiple times a week even after my playing days are over. Doesn't matter if we are good or not, I will still watch.

I got there after Ellis, so maybe that had a lot to do with it. You can just imagine. I didn't even know what the NIT was for the longest.

You are incredibly misinformed regarding support for AU basketball

Probably a 6. When the Buckeyes were getting to FFs and got to the title game and lost vs Florida, there was a buzz around the team in Columbus when I was still up in Ohio. Even a couple of years later when they had Evan Turner and then JJ Sullinger, they had a great product and they were beating really good teams in a very competitive conference. The last few years they've been a one man show, Deangelo Russell and he's with the Lakers. This season was a complete shite show to start, but the win over Kentucky has propelled them to six straight wins. The college game, though, is not as entertaining until you get to February and March. I'm more of a NBA fan myself. This year though, the SEC seems to be getting better in basketball. You all got some pretty good coaches there now.

Admittedly more so when they're good. Which isn't often. I'll keep up with how we're doing and catch w game when I'm not doing anything. I don't go out of my way though.

I might attend a few games this year

Don't forget that 68 teams get invited to compete for the national championship too. How awesome.

'99 roster, granted some were still young and hadn't broken out yet.

Jamison Brewer
Marquis Daniels
Daymeon Fishback
Mamadou N'Diaye
Scotty Pohlman
Chris Porter
Doc Robinson

Kyle Davis, Marco Killingsworth and Brandon Robinson's stupid arse weren't far behind. Went down the shitter real quick after the Sweet 16.

The very first LSU event that I ever went to believe it or not was a Women's Basketball game, so I naturally had an interest in both the men's and women's teams as both were very good during my HS days. I still try to follow both. I guess my interest with the men would be at 8 and at 4(ish) with the women's team. They're very painful to watch these days.

football and basketball don't have to have the same format to both be great.

About an 7.5. I watch every game I can, which has gotten significantly easier since the SEC+ came about. I probably follow it a little closer than baseball, but I haven't been to a game since I was in undergrad.

Planning on heading to Knoxville in a few weeks to see USC vs UTK.
