On a scale of 0-10, with 0 being "have no interest at all" and 10 being "follow religiously", how would you rate your interest in your University's basketball team.

I would rate my interest as a "2".

Auburn has built a brand new arena and hired Bruce Pearl, but I can honestly say that I have never, and probably will never, follow basketball on the Plains.

I attended Auburn when they approved our new Arena and I can't tell you how many students were pissed that our tuition money was going into building what we deemed a complete waste of money.

I understand that AU is trying to improve our basketball program, but I don't see any long-term success as a result. We might have a few good years here and there, but the sport of Basketball just isn't that popular down on the Plains. We could have just used that money ($92 million) to improve Jordan-Hare or something else. Just my honest opinion though.

Religiously when they're good. This year, not so much.

I'm an 8 on the scale I guess and let me tell you nothing can be more annoying

not just in the shite teams we've been pumping out and boy have we been pumping out some shite teams

but when you're the one guy in your group of friends who actively follows the team you constantly get "Dude, who cares? It's just basketball"

Do more research, less posting.

I might watch 2 or 3 games a year. If they're in the tournament, I will watch those.

I'm an NBA fan, and I don't really have time for CBB. It's an inferior product in every way.

Yes but Beard Eaves was god awful. I agree Auburn is never going to sustain success in basketball, but they very much needed that arena to have any hope of having any future basketball success. I personally hate Coleman and wish Bama would build a new 10,000-12,000 seat arena.

I went to every single game during my freshman year, and it was absolutely depressing watching those games in an empty and hollow Beard-Eaves Memorial Coliseum. I haven't been to a single game since then, even at the new Arena.

If football is a 10, basketball is about a 7-8. I don't really follow recruiting and all the in-depth stuff like I do football, but I watch most games and am glued to the TV during Feb and March. It definitely helps that UF is usually good.

I try to watch all the games possible on TV. I try to make one or two a year in G'ville or Jax when they are here.

It's hard to make more because of my kids ages and sports.

I'd say it's an 8.

.25. That goes for all college basketball and not just Bama.

That said I hope they do well and Johnson has a long successful career there.

Yes. It had slid to about a 7 with the malaise of Grant, but it is back up to about a 9.

It's kind of sad too. I live about 50 minutes away from Auburn and you neither see nor hear any AU B-Ball advertising whatsoever. It's like the University doesn't even care. I know that is not true with their hiring Pearl and everything. But, I am pretty sure that even students on campus don't know when a game is, or who AU is playing, even if it were today in our own Arena.

I want to say higher, but truthfully it's probably a 5-6.

2. Our team sucks. Plus, college basketball just sucks too much in general. The whole one and done thing and AAU has really killed it for most fans. The NBA sucks to watch as well.
