I could roll with that if you went with teams with 8 wins a season and a seeding system that took into consideration strength of schedule.

You can't convince me a Ohio U whose 8 wins were Wofford, Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green, Akron, Miami (OH), Louisiana-Laf, Buffalo, and Temple deserves a bowl bid over a SEC team that has 6-7 wins that include wins over quality, ranked teams along the way.

I would say UT deserves more than any of those team and Florida.

Florida, Kentucky, and UGA all lost their way to a bowl, UT on the other had won 4 straight to make their way to the bowl game.

Florida is horrible, and undoubtably undeserving of the Outback bowl. Even though Penn. St. is horrible, they'll still beat UF by 10.

Back when seasons were only 11 games, 6-5 deserved a bowl, but most teams only schedule another cream puff with that extra game nowadays. So no, 6-6 does not deserve a bowl game

Tennessee beat:
Tenn-Martin
UAB
Memphis
Ole Miss
Vandy
Kentucky

not impressive and i dont think that resume desevere a bowl game, but with that said my heels had better beat them in nashville

UGa beat:
Louisiana-Lafayette
UT
Vandy
Kentucky
Idaho St
Ga Tech

more impressive, but still questionable

Kentucky beat:
Louisville
W. Kentucky
Akron
S. Carolina
Charleston Southern
Vandy

probably doesnt deserve a bowl, but they beat a good opponent in S. Car

its tough to compare but my way of judging would be to see if a similar basketball resume would get them into the tournament. if we go by that, UT is definately not deserving, then UGa and Kentucky are bubble teams but probably dont get in

How gives a shite?

It is an extra month of practice for the young players...which makes us better!

Plus, more $$$$$$$$$$ for the conference teams.

Agree.

Lessen the bowls, make it a real achievement again.

I'd love to see 5 BCS games; Rose, Sugar, Cotton, Fiesta, Orange, with the MNC game rotated among them.

Then 8 - 10 other bowl games.

We really just played the shitty teams at the end. We play them first, we very possibly start 4-0 and finish 6-6.

I'd like it to go back to the way it was, without the bending over for the mid majors. 4 BCS bowls, one is the title game. Or better yet, 4 BCS bowls, title game a week later after updated BCS standings.
