Do Missouri fans actually believe Martin would leave for Mizzou?

What a joke.

You guys hired Kim Anderson for a reason. Nobody else wanted to go there. Missouri basketball is dead and showing no signs of life.

I wouldn't leave South Carolina State at this point for Mizzou, but who knows?
I do know that he unexpectedly liked the area more than he ever thought he would when he was coach at K-St. He has people in the area he considers dear friends. I don't know his feeling on S.Carolina though. Could be he loves it.
As far as no one else wanting to coach at Mizzou. That statement is as ignorant as us hiring Kim Anderson. We had much better coaches that WANTED to come here. Why we didn't hire a couple is beyond me. Poor choices.

We were dead and buried when Frank came in. He just now got us to respectable.

Why would he leave to start that process all over again?

Damn, I rustled you good. And you don't know shite. Kim was hired because of the incoming sanctions that were brought on from Frank Haith before he bolted to Tulsa.

South Carolina is a joke.

Lol. South Carolina has always been a sleeping giant in basketball. We finally made the right hire as head coach. I honestly see many final 4's in Frank's future. (Go ahead and laugh at that, just like many laughed at me predicting Frank making us great).

If you say so. I guess it's the only thing you've had to cheer about since 2015.

No one leaves one P5 school to Mizzou because of the Tigers' illustrious basketball history.

Martin is a very good coach. The fact that he's gotten a program as shitty as South Carolina to a tournament team is quite an accomplishment

So he would leave a program he's built back to take over a garbage Mizzou squad? Lmao.

We have the money, facilities, and this is Martins team. Missouri fans be high as frick

I think anyone would be foolish to underestimate Martin.

Missouri is a VASTLY superior job. Martin has been very complimentary of Mizzou since he's been a coach.

Of course he'd leave. His wanted this job for a long time.

You would have to throw 5M at him to keep him. Don't worry though, I don't see us going after him.

That's a fricking pipe dream dude. Missouri is a TERRIBLE job right now.

Do you really think Martin is looking at the history books and going "well I'll be damned they are better! I should leave everything I've built here"

You're fricking retarded if you believe he would even entertain the idea of leaving here to go to fricking Missouri.

Lol.

You ARE mad. Mad as frick.

You're just being silly at this point. You act like Martin is some kind of lifer at SC. He's not that old. He had to take the SC job because of the way things ended at KState. It's merely a stepping stone.

The Mizzou job is vastly superior in pretty much every quantifiable way. Better facilities, way better history, it has a major talent hub within state borders, and a larger fan base.

Yes, you are a better TEAM now but that's only because you lucked into a very good coach. When he leaves it's very likely SC returns to the same shitty program they've always been.

If you don't understand why Martin would rather have the Mizzou job then you have no grasp on the hierarchy of college sports. The ceiling is significantly higher here. It just is.

I don't see it as probable.
And frankly, I don't want him.

But he's a better coach than I gave him credit for when he went to SC.

It is most likely rumor-mongering started by his agent to renegotiate.

No? Just that he's not even going to think about going to Missouri. He would leave for an elite job, sure. Missouri isn't an elite job.

The rest of your dribble was mindless anger and salt.

Y'all are gonna renegotiate his contract because your AD has a better understanding of basketball than you do.

And it's "drivel." Not dribble. fricking dumbass Southerners.
