Inter-division coaching job with tears and love for the school you're leaving is the only thing I see as comparable. Extra special if said coach makes disparaging comments off mike after landing.
I have no clue what this means and can't even stereo-type and mock you because you don't have a team logo. Very frustrating.

WHY do you have UGA as your favorite team?

At least Saban left to try something on the next level...Urban said he left because he didn't like what CFB had become and to focus on his health/faith/family...2 completely different situations...
Urban is garbage and full of crap...

I am an LSU fan -- I have no resentment for Saban.
People make choices about their professional careers all the time - no one gives a crap when someone from Dominoes quits to go work at Pizza Hut.
Do I love the fact that Les Miles' led team kicks the crap out of a Nick Saban's led team - bet your arse I do. But, when/if Les Miles moves on -- I'll want the new coach to beat Les Miles. That's the way "being a fan" works.
Nick Saban did not leave LSU to "screw" LSU - he left because in his own value-system, it was the right decision. While he was at LSU, he worked his arse off to produce a winning team. I think LSU fans would appreciate that. Who cares he left? Next coach please. And, win many games please.
Florida lucked out -- Urban M. left FL before he completely ran the program into the ground. (whether I think the coaching staff they now have will complete that task -- deserves a completely different thread).
No need for fans to resent former coaches. Life is too short to get caught up in that crap. Cheer the team you have now. Cheer the coach you have now. Expect the best, and expect to play and beat the best talent out there.
and if this is too long for people to read and comprehend, idgaf.
ETA: ok, I take it back what I said about "no need for fans to resent former coaches". Tennessee fans have every right to want to piss on Kiffin's shoes anytime he takes a step in the State of TN.

TxTiger, did not meant to hijack the thread. My point was that it's not comparable to our saban experience. Urban apparently resigned for legitimate health reasons and now goes home to coach his alma mater. Good for him.
Comparable experiences would be:
Bob Stoops to Texas
Spurrier to Ole Miss
etc.

There are some exceptions...
I was born in Columbus, OH, but grew up mostly in LA (saw Maravich, Casanova et al) and have 2 degrees from LSU. Had to move back up here for medical/family issues.
I am sick of all the Urban/savior/OSU crap up here and am proud to cheer for the beloved Tigers.
