Nah - Spurrier just can't lose to dipshit Hee Haw come November in Columbia.

strange series with the Wildcats. seems like in the 90s we took turns beating each other on enemy turf. UK won 5 of the first 8 games in SEC play. Carolina's won 13 of the last 15. Kentucky hasn't won at Williams-Brice since Bill Clinton was president.

they came in ranked #8 in 2007 and the #11 Gamecocks ambushed them on a Thursday night 38-23. I think that was probably the highest ranked Kentucky football team in quite some time.

Eric Norwood owned that game...

Spurrier will figure out how to beat Georgia again. Then it wont matter what else he does this year until its Dabo beatin time.

You want so badly to believe this that it's a little sad.

I'll be kinda surprised if USC loses to UK Week 2 at home, but it's possible. If this year mimics last year's debacle, then I think he'll go ahead and retire, and Tanner will have to hire a football coach and a baseball coach in the same athletic year.

I expect a 9/10 win season this year, as I don't see anyone in the conference who is head-and-shoulders above anyone else. It all boils down to what Hoke can do with some new talent, and the maturing talent that he inherited.

You really see 9 or 10 for USC this year? You have a tough draw this fall.

@A&M
@TN
@UGA
@Missouri
LSU
Clemson

Are all probable losses IMO. Not impossible but probable.

Then you have UNC* and UF that could be tough.

I think Spurrier will be doing great if he finds 8 wins this fall.

My prediction is 6-6.

Spurrier could drink a fifth of moonshine, ride go carts all night, sleep for two hours, wake up, play nine, and still beat Kentucky by two touchdowns.

AND he'd have a kick arse presser after the game.

Kentucky football is a joke, that game is that easy.

You do realize both Joker and Stoops have beaten Spurrier right?

** UK beat USC in 2014 at home 45-38 (7 point win under Stoops)
** UK lost to MU in 2014 at Columbia 10-20 (10 point loss under Stoops)
** UK beat USC in 2010 at home 31-28 (3 point win under Joker)

Keep whistling past the graveyard

Didn't stop them from keeping him around last year after we whipped em. Why would losing again this year be any different?

ahhhh yes... i remember that game. I remember laughing at UK celebrating like they had beat a good team. I turned to my buddy and said "Kentucky thinks they beat a good team". We knew at the time we weren't any good last year and beating us was no major feat. Congrats on beating a 6-6 team. Maybe this year if y'all do it again you can squeeze another conference win in before the season is over and make a bowl. Beating SC did not make UK a good team. It just gave UK false hope for a few weeks until the rest of the country realized we were a fraud. UK went on to lose their last 6 games.

Congrats on losing to Joker Phillips if that's the logic you want to throw out. That's a pretty exclusive club there.

I know there was talk of mutiny last season.

Most SC fans were calling for Lorenzo Ward's head after last season, not Spurrier's.

It was the absolute monumental collapse by our defense in a number of games that led to our shitty season. Spurrier wasn't to blame for that.

Still don't know what the frick we've done as far as improving our defense this offseason, so it should be interesting to see what happens.

Do cock fans call for spurriers head if usc loses to kentucky in week two

I know there was talk of mutiny last season. How do fans react if usc loses at home?

First of all muddy dick ... you capitalize "Cock" in your subject line from this point forward or be prepared for the Sonic boom consequences.

We will find your arse - Gamecocks don't forget this kind of shite.

Secondly ... what's this "usc" bullshite? It's either USCe or SCAR.

Third - if he loses to Kentucky in Wk 2 he may not make it through the end of the season. We're not Va Tech fans and Spurrier doesn't have a goiter that would make us feel sorry for him.

Fourthly ... "if" a bullfrog had wings he wouldn't bump his arse hoping across whatever it is that he/she frog may be hopping across at the time. If "ifs" and "buts" were candy and nuts, wouldn't it be a Merry Christmas? If "ifs" and "buts" were beer and nuts, we'd have ourselves a party. There's no ifs, ands or buts about it ... I hate the fricking off-season around here.

If Kentucky beats SCAR two seasons in a row does it mean they've turned the corner and will start printing the 14-0 t-shirts?

Please show me where I boasted about it. TIA.

You are talking about bragging about beating a shitty team, not losing to a shitty team.

Thursday night game ... Erin Andrews looked great back then and she was literally right in front of me all night. Skinny as a bean pole back then. - wearing these leotard black tights ... sheesh, she looked awesome that night.

Norwood went crazy in the game. I wanna say maybe the next week we won a close one at UNC with Smelly was it? ... then we fell apart, total self-destruction. Argggg - 2007 was not pretty.

So Cock fans didn't celebrate a win after going winless in a season? Even if it wasn't a "big" SEC win that broke the streak.

Forgive me if your talking shite is laughable given your football history. Don't act like you haven't been there before.

WTF are you talking about?

ETA:

And no, I didn't think we had "arrived" just because we won a few games.

Let me rephrase it for you in terms you can understand.

You're talking shite about UK fans and players celebrating beating a 6-6 South Carolina team after losing several SEC games in the previous two seasons.

I'm calling out your hypocrisy because you can't tell me South Carolina fans have never done that before after some awful, awful seasons (like your winless one) in the past.

Quite simply, pot meet kettle.

ahhh yes. I just came into this thread and started spewing shite without a UK fan saying anything at all ..... .

GTFO with your "terms you can understand". All I did was respond to some UK fans who were talking shite about South Carolina.

You are actually proving my point. If I have no room to talk, UK fans don't either. I'm glad you could stoop to a 3rd grade level and try and insult ones intelligence...

Don't want to be called on your hypocrisy, then don't be a hypocrite.

And feel free to downvote that while you're at it too.

You're being the hypocrite if you would read your own fans post at the beginning of the thread. I guess that is how you get 51000 posts though, just chiming in without knowing what is being talked about.

So just so I know where I stand, a SC fan can't talk about UK football because of our lack of history, but a UK fan can rag SC and it is OK? Is that right?
