Using Alabama fans logic in this thread, Nick Marshall is a better running back than Derrick Henry. Nick Marshall has more rushing yards than Derrick Henry. Pretty embarrassing for a quarterback to have more rushing yards than a kid most Alabama fans proclaimed to be the greatest running back of all time before the season

you are letting your anger get in the way of rationality.

How do you explain Coates putting up far superior stats last year?
Who else was being thrown to? Duke wasn't on the team last year. Sammie was the primary target of course.

UT had the 2nd best pass defense in the sec (almost identical numbers to lsu before the game), and he put 224 against them.
I will concede that one, but he has had some rough games. That doesn't mean he's bad though, he's still a great player imo. No player is perfect.

i for one hope that Coates and Williams numbers stay way down this year because it means our offense is clicking the rest of the way and maybe they come back next year,,,then we get to see JJ with these two

comparing to second string RB...

Nick Marshall is only 30 yards behind TJ Yeldon in rushing yards. It really is embarrassing that a quarterback has basically the same amount of rushing yards as Alabama's best running back

i don't think he is better just because of his stats, I think he is better because i have seen all three of them play, and its really not even close.

Fwiw, Alabama fans have no room to knock Auburn for being wrong on that considering y'all are the worst about declaring your players the best, every. Single. Year.

as far as NFL futures go Coates is the most gifted physically but so raw, Duke probably the best hands and will be a great possession receiver, Coop is the most NFL ready right now, he can do it all.

Given the double team when playing against OM I'd say 9 receptions for 91 yards was okay, not spectacular. The problem is that we didn't have anyone else out there that OM took seriously, as White was hobbled and OJ couldn't catch Ebola.

The Arky game was more of a shutdown, but I'm not sure that Arky shut down Coop as much as Blake shut him down. Coop has a pretty damn good catch radius but he can't catch when the ball is thrown at his feet. One reception on third and three could have easily gone the distance had Sims not been wildly inaccurate.

The fact that you think Duke is going to be a possession receiver at the next level shows you have no idea what the frick you are talking about.

Amari Cooper is a great receiver. Coates and Duke are also great. I see no reason to compare. All are great.

Major respect for Amari and our guys.

Duke is better. Sammie is taking year off for some reason.
