Also I believe the US Olympic Trials for swimming is currently in Omaha as well.
Could simply be logistics for that too.

You're right neaux, there are no other major sports that play their national title game in the middle of a weekday. Let's all LOL at college baseball and its inferiority to other athletic events.

So unless they want to stretch the series out potentially to August by only having games on weekends in case the one game turns out to be the title game, they're going to schedule these things with the knowledge that a title game might be played during the week.
"Might" be played during the week? All three games were scheduled for Monday - Wednesday. They are being played on a weekday on purpose. They didn't just happen to fall on a weekday by chance...
