Who in their right mind coins this "The song" for The University of Alabama? They deserve to be trolled after every loss

quote:

Rollin' down a backwoods, Tennessee byway
One arm on the wheel
Holdin' my lover with the other
A sweet, soft, southern thrill
Worked hard all week, got a little jingle
On a Tennessee Saturday night
Couldn't feel better, I'm together
With my Dixieland delight

It was a better troll job than Bama's band playing Dueling Banjos and Cotton-Eyed Joe. BTW...the "Million Dollar Band" is waaaaay over priced. They did a great job of playing while standing still.

It's only our chant that makes it "The song". Otherwise, it's from a band named 'Alabama' who is singing about something happening in Tennesee.

Vols should play it after beating us. Same with Auburn playing RJGTHA. If you dish it out, you have to be able to take it back too.

By the way, the band Alabama wasn't worth a damn after their 40 hr week album. Sell outs big-time.

Nobody "Coined" the song. It was just one of a number of songs they played on a regular rotation during commercial timeouts and the students made up the extra lyrics. I mean no one at LSU all of sudden decided to add STTDB to Neck, it just happened organically.

It’s a song about having sex with your sister in a truck in Tennessee. Y’all both win!

Tennessee is mentioned 5 times in the lyrics.

It seems like it's more about Tennessee than it is about Alabama.

BTW...

"Lovin'" is only mentioned 4 times
"Dixieland" is only mentioned 6 times
"Alabama" is mentioned 0 times
"Bama" is mentioned 0 times

Turd is mentioned exactly as many times in the song as Alabama in the lyrics.

Is it more about Tucson, AZ than it is about Post Falls, Idaho? It also mentions California...so you could say it is somewhat about both. What you can't say is that it makes sense for Idaho to embrace it and pretend it has anything to do with them.

It makes as much sense for Idaho to embrace Get Back as LSU embracing Neck or Va Tech embracing Enter Sandman or Wisconsin embracing Jump Around.

I'll allow it.

I thought the better one was when we played Minnesota in Music City Bowl, UT band director taught Minnesota band to play Rocky Top. We are that special.
