Yes, you dumb shite. Let it go. It is fricking football season. Let. It. Go.
I know it's cool to be cynical and act like YOU know what's REALLY GOING ON but no, big time football schools do not have boosters walking around handing out envelopes of cash in the locker room. This will be the biggest story of the week whether it is football season or not

Is this serious?

not sure what you are trying to disprove with that quote. just because they quoted a guy from 06-08' doesnt disprove anything

Well he is now, but if he is writing about Auburn/Reed/Robinson it's the gospel, right?

Problem is, this is likely going to touch more programs b/c of coaching moves, etc. (Not touch in terms of NCAA, but in terms of unflattering appearance)

Miles was at LSU in 05.
They start with, "under Les Miles", and in the same breath quote a guy who got there after MILES....
Its too good...

Regardless if you believe it or not, as mentioned earlier, it will start other questions to be asked. And since Miles is mentioned, and more or less implicated, probably fairly safe to assume the attention will be on LSU as well in some form or fashion.
One other thing I will point out, anyone who is a fan of an SEC school, other than LSU should not celebrate this, but be worried. You think the ESPN's and SI's of the college football world want to just hammer on Miles or LSU? No sir - they want to bring down this whole conference. At the end of the day - they cannot take a bunch of what they deem 2nd class citizens (all of us in the south) being the best in the land. Just like last time there was scrutiny on Alabama - it opens up the floodgates. I firmly believe these media outlets are constanly searching for something to be the catalyst to go after the whole of the SEC. This OSU bullshite is just an opening for them - or what they hope is an opening. No one cares if OSU gets in trouble, but seeing Bama, LSU, UGA, A&M, FLA, Tenn, USC or any other SEC school in the crosshairs will sell quite a bit of rags and airtime.

So, without reading this thread, I'm going to bet that the comments are basically LSU fans uniformly dismissing/trivializing the article and fans of other schools having fun with them. And I'd bet the exact same thing would happen if any other school's coach was involved instead. And almost certainly has happened multiple times in TD's past, from Manziel to T-Town to Cam to whatever the hell Freeze did. Thus the circle-jerk of predictability goes on.
Am I close?
Am I close?

worst case scenario is miles exits LSU stage left and we hire a big time replacement.

I'm the least cool sum bitch on this board, and IDGAF. Also, I'm not cynical...I'm pragmatic. We all pay players. It may not be in envelopes in the locker room, but EVERY team pumps a little cash out.

Do you have reading comprehension issues? the 06-08' quote has nothing to do with the miles aspect of the quote.

I'll start with the other questions right now:
How come the only sources are drug addicts or other life failures that couldn't make themselves into productive citizens when their college career was over?
