4 of the last 8 national champions in Men's Golf are from the West

2009 - Texas A&M
2013 - Alabama
2014 - Alabama
2015 - LSU

The only Women's Golf National Champion from the SEC in the last 15 years is from the West

2012 - Alabama

So I'll go with.........false

Top 20 for Arkansas is nothing to sneer at considering our population. I'm surprised we managed to beat out Florida, who is the all sports powerhouse for the conference, but I imagine they will score a ton of points with the spring sports. Hopefully our track teams will do work and put some points on the board for us.

Florida is never strong in the fall. With football sucking, and only having basically w. volleyball and w. soccer I thought they'd be lower.

Florida will finish top 5 after spring sports.

Ark:

The SEC and Pac-12 are the only conferences to always have had a team finish in the top 10 of the All Sport Trophy. Florida is the only school in the country to have never finished outside the top 10. Florida only competes in a few Fall sports. So, enjoy being ahead of them while you can. Your best sports are done for the year except outdoor track.

Not sure how you got this

I was basically asking you how feel about Arkansas football and Kentucky football being equal? The point was to discuss how they mirror each other at this point.

Last spring LSU had 10 spring sports ranked in the top 10, and we'll have 4-5 ranked in the top 3 this year. We'll pass the pigs

The same story for LSU

Kentucky is pretty balanced. While M basketball is held out as why they are always in the Top 25 or so, that is only 100 points, and you only get 100 for the NC.

What a weird grouping of sports. LSU doesn't even have a team for three of those sports. I'm sure the same can be said for some of the other SEC schools.

That said, LSU's Athletic department blows

But it doesn't. It'll finish top 20 in the entire country, probably top 15.

I just have no idea how one can identify as an LSU fan and not know that LSU has always excelled in the spring sports much more than the fall, minus football. LSU has never been much more than barely relevant in soccer and volleyball. LSU uses all of its track scholarships for other events and not distance (we blow at CC). This is not difficult t o understand.

I'd really like LSU to throw the bank at Kentucky's AD. Kentucky is relevant in a lot of sports they weren't previously. I'd like to take their track coach, but Shaver is too consistent to fire.

Probably not.

UK under MB has gone much stricter such as having the strictest 1st strike policy in the SEC. While this has greatly helped the lesser sports, especially in making the athletes parents happy, it may hamper getting the really "good" athlete with issues. Not saying MB has gone all "holy roller" but UK now seems to have a strong religious feel. Not sure if this works for top football schools in the SEC.

Tennessee's athletic department is currently a dumpster fire. I really hope the next AD(hopefully Blackburn) can fix this.

Alabama doesn't even field teams in half these sports.

And this is how Stanford has won it since 1994 (28 straight years).. they field almost everything under the sun. And good for them, they are a private university and feel they have the money to do so.
