So pretty much the talent at WR is there, we just dont have a QB

Career Stats:

Julio Jones: 179 catches, 2653 yards, 15 TDs
Amari Cooper: 228 catches, 3463 yards, 31 TDs

Alshon Jeffery: 183 catches, 3042 yards, 23 TDs
Sidney Rice*: 142 catches, 2233 yards, 23 TDs

*Sidney Rice only played 2 years. He may have set many SEC records had he kept a similar pace in his 3rd year

We are sending more than 50% of our WRs to the NFL yet we are # 2

11 drafted:19 4 or 5 stars recruits..........

I might need to clarify that for you. you had 11 WR's drafted in the past 10 years. You had nineteen 4* or 5* recruits. So you ddin't have over 50% of your WR's drafted, b/c you also took in 3* WR's and maybe some 2*'s, (I don't know how many total WR's you took over that 10 years.)

The article said that LSU was #1, Tenn was #2 and SC was #3.

Difinitive List of the BEST SEC Schools for WR's (past decade)

LINK /

1. SC
6 - 4* or 5* commits
4 - 1st Team All SEC
1 - AP All Americans
6 - Players Drafted

2. LSU
19 - 4* or 5* commits
0 - 1st Team All SEC
0 - AP All Americans
11 - Players Drafted

3. Tenn
15 - 4* or 5* commits
2 - 1st Team All SEC
1- AP All Americans
4 - Players Drafted

(* From article's perspective, they gave too much credit in their calculations for getting 4* or 5* receivers, that doesn't matter. It's what the receivers do when they're in college that matters AND if you did get 4* or 5* guys, how well did they do?)

(SIDE NOTE)
Schools with the WORST ratio of 4* or 5* commits divided by WR's drafted into the NFL.
Miss St - 4 - 4* or 5* WR's. 0 were drafted. 0%
Bama - 16 4* or 5* WR's, 2 were Drafted. 12.5%
Ole Miss - 11 4* or 5* WR's. 2 were Drafted. 18.2%
Tenn - 15 4* or 5* WR's. 4 were Drafted. 26.6%

4. ARK
6 - 4*or5* commits
2 - 1st Team All SEC
1 - AP All Americans
6 - Players Drafted

This. Plus, Moncrief is the only 4/5* WR that's been drafted from Ole Miss. Wallace was a 2* and McCluster(if you count him) was a 3*.

I think about 6 of those 4/5* never made it past their freshman year

It shouldn’t be any surprise that LSU crushes the rest of the SEC by a wide margin. Reigning NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year Odell Beckham Jr. and former running mate Jarvis Landry are fresh in everyone’s mind after the way they tore up the pros this season. It’s not just those two, though. LSU has nearly double the number of players drafted over the last decade of any other SEC team.

Yet you try to put your team first? Get the frick out of here with that bullshite

You are trying to justify his original formula. Why does it matter how many more 4 or 5 *'s you get? How much more do they matter than having 1st Team All SEC or All American players?

11 WRs drafted>>>>>6 WRs drafted. Skew the numbers if you must, LSU wins this debate hands down.

No one chooses a school to be all sec. They choose a school that will get them to the league. LSU does that better than any other SEC school for WRs.

we've had this problem at fla lately

les is lucky as hell he wins because the QB situation at lsu over the last decade should probably get him fired if he ever has a 500 season

Well, if you are using an efficiency standard, Vandy wins hands down.

1- 4* recruit, 2 drafted...
4-1st team SEC (tied first),
1 AP All American (behind only Bama)

That is the problem with that analysis. I agree that recruit stars shouldn't matter. The only thing that matters for "____ position U" is draft picks. Really, that should be the only criteria, but they should weight the picks based on round taken.

Yep, but his formula is not valid. SC had more 1st Team All SEC and more WR's drafted than Tenn, so why should Tenn be ranked higher? According to his formula, it would be b/c they had more 4 and 5 * WR recruits.

My point is that the # of 4 or 5 *'s shouldn't matter.

Even without looking at recruiting, LSU is scored higher than USCe.
