Fitting that a grinder posted this. Didn't Ole Miss beat you down this year? I don't really remember or care--who does?--but I recall it that way.

Didn't A&M beat Bama this year?

As I've said before, both State and OM benefited from Arkansas and Auburn going down. Had they stayed good, Ole Miss would have only won 4 games. Would State have also lost those games? Maybe, probably, but essentially Freeze is getting a HUGE amount of credit for beating a bad Auburn and Arkansas and Mullen is getting none, and people don't realize it.

OM might not be considered such a runaway train if they lose to a good Auburn and Arkansas and beat State to finish 4-8, maybe one game better than expected. On the other hand, State is getting treated just as if they had lost to good Auburn and Arkansas teams and finished 6-7 instead of 8-5.

But we DID finish 8-5, and 4-4 in the SEC. Average to bad year for middlin' SEC teams, but still a decent to good year for State. Certainly better than last year's 7-6 (2-6) and 2009's 5-7 (3-5).

And again, as I've said before, OM/State IS NOT A ZERO SUM GAME. Just because Ole Miss gets better does not mean State has to get worse. We really aren't going after than many of the same players, and among the ones we are both going after, State has and always will signed a fair share.

State is replacing every player we are losing with a higher rated player. I read in the paper that OM played 9 freshmen or redshirt freshmen. State played at least 10 (just glanced at our roster). So the ones that played were young and will get better, and the ones that redshirted were higher rated than the ones that played. State has several 4- and 5-star commits and possible additional commits for this class, too. All of that points to MSU improving this year and in the next couple years, if you care about recruiting ratings. If you don't then don't bring them up to talk about other schools improving.

Hey, in July I picked Ole Miss to finish 7-6. I win. Thanks, OM.

Eye test

You got blown out by Bama, A&M and OM. We competed against Bama, should have beaten A&M and gave LSU all they wanted. It has nothing to do with Auburn or Arkansas.

We competed better than you did but you had a much easier schedule and got blown out by us. We were the better team by the end of the year but you have the better record and will try to use that as an argument for the next decade.

Obviously it means nothing but if your going to question why everyone thinks we are going up and you are going down, don't change the subject and call it a moral victory. It's just points to an argument.

But you are just here to troll anyway because you know nothing about football in the first place.

You realize we were actually extremely competitive against LSU and A&M (lost both in the last minute) as well as Vandy. You weren't competitive at all against the better teams in the SEC. Hell, Kentucky was giving you fits for a good part of that game.
