If there were an argument to be made, I would say that it would be that there are definitely teams that have recruited in the top 10 during the 11 win trifecta, that may have historical significance going for them but not necessarily success at the time. You would think finishing top 10 for 3 straight years would have resulted in high recruiting rankings but I would not say that our overall talent is below where it needs to be to be successful.

Do you know how to speak English? I'm trying to understand your point but I can't.
Remind me of Tennessees record vs Muschamp? In English?

If you can't understand that you are on the level of that truthteller poster. One word was autocorrected from pissed to missed.

The OP is terrible. USC recruiting was decent under Spurrier, since 2010....24, 18, 19, 16, 16, 19. Spurriers main issue was his complacency with staff hires...he settled for Ward at DC after Ellis Johnson left because it was the easy hire. Ward then brought in his buddy Deke Adams who was a terrible D Line coach. Spurriers was also lazy with the S&C hire again promoting from within. Absolutely, they need help at skill positions which Muschamp addressed very quickly and brought in quality wr and rb recruits. The early returns from the offseason conditioning is how tough the players think it is. That tells me they weren't working hard enough in the weight room to be successful. As far as the program, it's incredibly healthy. It has 5x as many big donors as when Spurrier got here. The facilities have come a long ways and are among the nicest in the SEC. Spurrier just needed to retire after the 2015 season which he himself readily admits.
The OP tried baiting with this thread hoping to get a desired negative response ... which he didn't, so he failed and now he's desperately trying to redirect this thread towards his pre-intended desire.
All of what you mentioned, and that mentioned by others, is absolutely true.
Spurrier recruited consistent Top 25 classes during the last half of his tenure. The cupboard wasn't exactly bare ... but the energy and enthusiasm was missing.
SCAR has a ton of high-profile NFL players to promote during recruiting visits ... and that helps with recruits.
Our facilities are now in the upper forth of the conference, they are outstanding. Everything is top notch.
Our fan following is legendary.
We're a wealthy program, always making profits, consistently one of the Tp 15 highest valued programs in the country according to Forbes. We're about to have over $50 million in our reserve emergency fund alone ... more than any other program in the conference except for Bama and A&M.
Boosters are throwing money at the program. We're having a tough time finding new things to build to put their names on.
mUSChamp upgraded the staff ... better coaches, younger coaches with a lot of energy, drive and enthusiasm.
Our S&C had gone to shite. The new guy, Dillman, and his two assistants, have already taken it up several notches and they are just getting started. Everyone over there is talking about it.
Proximity to Charlotte is starting to finally pay off with recruits, with boosters, the banks, the SEC Network home offices almost right in our own backyard, etc. mUSChamp could conceivably concentrate just on GA, SC and NC and recruit 85% of a championship caliber team. He's got ties in Florida for the rest, Alabama too. And I fully expect us to start pulling a couple out of Texas beginning with this next class.
Nike is now knocking at our door and throwing big money figures at us ... so that's coming once this short term extension contract with Under Armor expires.
It's all coming together nicely. Now all we have to hope for is that mUSChamp and his staff can coach'em up.

You're 100% correct.
I think the bottom line is that we all thought Spurrier would have built on the three consecutive 11 win seasons with recruiting ... but he got lazy, much like he did at Florida.
The big difference was that Florida still drew solid recruiting classes without him really having to try, whereas here you have to get out and beat the bushes for the recruits in other states. Spurrier dropped the ball in that regard, there is no question about that.
He still field Top 25 classes, but he could have done better had he been energized enough to get out there and, most importantly, had he not entrusted it to Spurrier, Jr. ... which, ironically enough was the same mistake Lou Holtz made entrusting things to Skip those final two or three years.

That isn't USCs fault. College football is a caste system.

The thing to me is, (barring just because I'm a fan) I'm buying Carolina right now. Buy low, sell high. It's been a good while since this program has had the level of energy that Muschamp has brought.

Hindsight is always 20/20. Should Spurrier have retired a bit sooner then he did? In retrospect sure. Now, how many folks are just all hot and bothered to force a coach coming off a string of 11 win seasons out the door?
Not even Nebraska cans coaches off those win totals. Bear Bryant is one of the greatest coaches to ever walk the sidelines and he stayed a year or so too long at Bama. It happens.
Spurrier did a nice job of building SCAR up to where it is now, just like Holtz did before him. Muschamp wouldn't have been my first choice for a new head coach but we know the area is rich in talent. Hell Clemson just went to the national title game on that talent.
Long term USCe will be fine, even if Muschamp isn't the guy to take them to that next level.

Lol looking at the classes the recruiting isn't that bad
Spurrier brought in about 10-12 four stars every year
Is South Carolina supposed to be doing a lot better then that? I don't think so
