No. No you wouldn't.

Both teams would destroy Bama.

We always played on thursdays at the start of the season. Only two specific examples I can think of where we played on Thursday mid season,

2006 Auburn and 2007 Kentucky

I'm with you. I won't even bring up those horrible Tues. night college match-ups that's bound to start in two or three weeks.

I enjoy college football on Thursday nights. I watched one NFL game last year and part of the last Saints game. I'm done with the NFL for this year.

Can't agree more. My love for all pro sports has went down the shitter! At one time in my life my tv stayed on ESPN watching MLB, NBA, NFL. Those days are gone! NFL bullied their way onto Thursday nights because they knew they were getting their asses handed to them by Thursday Night College Football.

As big as a Saints fan I am I'm giving them 4 games this year. If they start anything worse then 2-2 I'm out! The last 3 years and one game has sucked the life out me! Give me college sports 24/7

Didn't South Carolina beat Ole Miss with Jevon Snead on a Thursday in 2009?

Spot on. Disney cable networks’ 3rd Qtr operating income fell 23 per cent thanks to decline at ESPN.

Yes, some loss is due to 'cord cutting' BUT most is due to it's conversion to a political network and lack of any decent programming.

Thursday games were awesome when the big east was on the come up with Rutgers, Louisville, and WV

But yeah NFL games shouldn't be played on Thursday's. The games are always sloppy and it's obvious that teams need a week to prepare to put a decent product on the field

LSU played Mississippi State in 2011 on a Thursday night and Auburn at Kansas State in 2014. We need those games back

Couldn't remember if that was on Thursday night, but yes you're right.

That was the game that sandstorm became popularized for us. First time I remember them playing it was LSU 2008 though.

This x 1000

I wanted to catch up on highlights on SportsCenter from the weekend. After watching for 15 minutes and seeing one highlight, I turned it. ESPN is hot garbage right now.

That's because they are owned and ran by the same people. If you put the 2 channels next to each other you will see they basically match in their approach to reporting the news/sports. Their format is more about shock value than actually reporting on the news/sports.

ESPN is a shell of what it use to be and CNN is a shell of what it use to be.

There was maybe one/two good Thursday games at its peak. Now I watch NFL on Thursday so no I don't really miss it

College games on Thursday night go back a long way.

October 2, 1992

quote:

Mississippi State Stops Florida : College football: Matthews throws five interceptions as No. 13 Gators lose to No. 24 Bulldogs, 30-6.

STARKVILLE, Miss. — Frankie Luster had two of Shane Matthews' career-high five interceptions and Mississippi State's defense held No. 13 Florida to 53 yards rushing as the No. 24 Bulldogs defeated the Gators, 30-6, Thursday night.

The Bulldogs (3-1, 1-1 in the Southeastern Conference) yielded only two first-half field goals, and permitted the Gators (1-2, 1-2) to cross the 50-yard line twice in the second half.

"We knew we had to get in a physical game to have a chance," Bulldog Coach Jackie Sherrill said. "If we had gotten into a finesse game, we wouldn't have had a chance."

quote:

"I feel bad that I can't get this offense to score a touchdown, but I don't have a lot of words for this. Our offense stunk," Florida Coach Steve Spurrier said.

quote:

Florida also had two fumbles. The Gators converted only three of 14 third downs.

"I didn't do my job," said Matthews, who was 17 of 38 for 224 yards. "This is probably the worst I've ever played. I can't ever remember a day like this. It's just a total embarrassment."

Personal preference, but I'd watch Wake Forest vs. UNC but I won't watch the Texans and Bengals.

First, i have always looked forward to thursday night college football. The games were seldom, if ever, top shelf. But it was college football and i love college football.

Then the nfl announced a regular thursday night game and i was not happy. The nfl wont let college football play on sundays that the nfl is playing on. Yet here they are hijacking thursday night while college football is on. There was only one way the cfb could go, down.

As for me personally. I'm done with the nfl until they decide whether they want to be a divisive political organization or a football league.

ESPN, i only watch what i have to to keep up with college football. All those faux sportscenter shows that have turned into political activist programs, we can thank disney, i'm done with.

Only reason I'm even considering watching the Texans is because of Watson.

Don't want to see him fail, just want to see how he does. But I probably won't even watch

OK listen dummies. NFL Thursday Night Football is on the NFL Network or CBS, never ESPN.

Since ESPN has the ability to schedule better games on Thursday night and doesn't, do they not share in the blame?
