This.

He def had an offer during the recruiting process at 1 point. He was never a big LSU guy.

We knew he wasnt that interested in LSU, so we pulled it. Kinda like the Tim Williams recruiting issue right now. Not that interested in LSU, so we back off.

1) You are wrong.
2) Tim Williams has an offer.

So I'm hearing two different things right now and they are both wrong. I'm hearing from elleshoe that LSU didn't want Lacy. That is wrong. What about Lacy doesn't scream "Les Miles running back?" I'm also hearing that Lacy, having grown up 20 mins from BR, didn't want LSU. That is also wrong.

Never said Tim Williams doesnt have an offer, because he does. But, we have backed off or slowed down in recruiting him.

Lacy is originally from Helen Cox in NOLA. Didnt grow up in Dutchtown. Moved after Katrina. And, he actually indeed wasnt as interested in LSU like most of the LA guys are. Fact. And i understand the grades issues, but we give a lot of guys that have grade issues time to get it together if they want to come here. I mean if the guy has a shot to qualify, we usually give them the chance to qualify. Look at Avery Johnson. We knew he had questionable grades and might not qualify. We didnt just pull his scholly. He ended up not qualifying and went JUCO route, but we still gave him every opportunity to put it together. And even though he went JUCO, we still wanted him and are still going to take him.

Why do people think its impossible for a LA guy to not like LSU?

I thought his issue was test scores. There is a big different between failing a bunch of classes in HS and narrowly missing your test scores.

Haha hey i just call it like i see it.

I just dont get why LA people cant seem to understand that a LA recruit might just not like LSU. And its nobodys fault. It just happens sometimes.

you're right. Our RB recruiting has just been terrible. Lesson learned. Hope we can find some guys talented enough to run the rock for LSU.

No theres not. Failing to qualify is failing to qualify, no matter how you put it. And which 1 ended up actually qualifying out of high school?? The 1 that failed a bunch of classes.

all we needed was a RB that could have avg 10 yards per carry and we would have beaten clemson

If he really had an offer it was probably conditioned on getting his academic situation straightened out with a quickness and he didn't do it. Would he have been a take? sure. Do we miss him in any way, shape, or form? No.

You already made that point a couple of times, Elleshoe. Just call me the Bear because I'd would have rather pulled him just to have had him at LSU rather than at Bama.

Well, we all commend you and appreciate your candidness. I think a lot of Nega-Tigers can learn from you that honesty is indeed the best policy.

As far as major sanctions at SEC schools , BAMA is second to only Auburn. That's a fact.

Wrong, Texas A&M is tied with AU with 7 each and Georgia and Kentucky are tied for 2nd with 6 each.

Bama has the second most major sanctions of any SEC school.

Wrong, AU, Texas A&M, Georgia, and Kentucky are ahead of Bama. Bama is tied with Mississippi St and South Carolina with 5 each.

While LSU is tied with Vandy for least major sanctions.

Wrong, LSU has 3 major NCAA infractions, and Vandy has 1.

These are facts.

Wrong, here is a list of the SEC schools and their major infractions.

Auburn 7
Texas A&M 7
Georgia 6
Kentucky 6
Alabama 5
Mississippi St 5
South Carolina 5
Arkansas 4
Florida 4
Missouri 4
Tennessee 4
LSU 3
Ole Miss 3
Vandy 1

South Carolina and Tennessee are the only SEC teams currently on probation. USC until 2015; and UT on double probation - basketball until 2013 and football until 2014.

if he was at LSU neither our season nor bama's season would have been any different. Bama would have gotten a RB just as good and he would be in LSUs 6 man RB rotation not getting enough carries like the rest of them

This is probably right.

And I agree that while I would of loved to see him in P&G, its not like we desperately needed him. We have had 1 of the best rushing attacks in the SEC for the past few years. Would of been nice to have him, but not like we are hurting because we didnt get him.

LSU fans are the whiniest excuse making bunch I have ever seen. Never seem to give anyone credit for anything. Just an observation.

Its always "BAMA has a program to help juniors", or "BAMA players are on steroids", or ""Lacy can't spell his name and is a mentally retarded rapist so we didn't want him".

It is always some bullshite excuse with y'all LOL. How hard is it just to tip your hat to the young man from your state? Just admit that your staff blew it by not offering him and stop slandering the guy. JMO.
