Grant got himself fired, Pearl`s run may have pushed some of the boosters that were on the fence into pushing Battle into firing him as Cecil hurt alluded too in his 11th hour pressure remark.

Even though Saban started out his tenure by losing to Auburn in 2007, he quickly began assembling an elite recruiting class and getting Bama fans excited about the future of Alabama football. Pearl has done nearly the same, but with Auburn basketball.

No. Bama has wanted rid of Grant forever and that's been no secret. Folks forget that Grant was a homerun hire when he was hired and Bama shelled out a lot of cash to get him. I wouldn't be surprised at all to learn that his buyout dropped substantially this year and that gave Bama the ability to fire without getting hosed too badly on any buyout.

Whats the new "Auburn God" Bruce Pearl's record against Grant this year and all time?
Our section was filled with fire grant threads before pearl ever came to Auburn. It's honestly laughable how so many Auburn fans who have never even kept up with bball until this past season are everywhere acting like your team has been worth a shite in your lifetime.
