I cannot call this line of attack by A&M stupid because considering the color of most of the recurits if the label can be stuck it could be irreversible
Problem is if A&M wants to start throwing about the racist label a true look at each university should be done to see if A&M represents multiculturalism
more than UT
If I was A&M I would be very worried about this coming back to bite them in the arse
The image of A&M has not changed since the 50's
While the image of UT is always changing

and after ACL, i would say the middle eastern portion of our state as well. just like it was in the early 80s according to a black person i work with who went to school there. i guess the image of UT isnt really changing

Yes. It's still an all male, all white, corps only cow college.

Problem is that this is the image that can be put in every person's mind in Dallas or Houston

We hired a black HC coach first. Also, we continue to give him a fair shake.
Also, no affirmative action. We believe minorities in the state of Texas are smart enough to earn their way into the halls of academe, not needing to be coddled and told they're not good enough on their own.

Only an idiot who has not seen TAMU since the 50s would type this.
Also, speaking of the 50s, was that, perhaps, when you graduated from texas? Also, what was your degree field?

im going to let you in on a little secret. basically everyone in the country thinks texas, as well as the rest of the south, is full of redneck racist hicks and believe me, UT isnt exempt from that

Well look at the face of your university
The corps. Not very different than 1957

I do not know about that
UT is connected with Austin and Austin in the minds of people in this country is a city of tolerance and sophistication

I was in the Corps. As was my father.
Look at the face of the Corps. Within the past 5 years, what, two female Corps commanders AND a black male commander? You mean to tell me it was the same during the 50's?
Please say yes. Puta.

I lived in California before
I heard the same thing over and over
Austin is cool but the rest of Texas sucks
Or I have only been to Austin

Oh NOW I see what the problem is. You've never been outside of Texas.
You poor bastard.

and i lived in LA and when UT came to play USC in the title, my black friends didnt want to go to the game because they didnt want to run into "racist" UT fans. just like my fellow bruin fans didnt want to come to the a&m game because they view texas as full of redneck racist hicks. that couldnt be further from the truth. but its the perception and it doesnt only apply to a&m
