You wish.

LSU managed to win the SEC Championship with poor QB play. Give LSU a reliable QB - jury still out on Mettenberger but he has to be better then Jefferson - and an undefeated season is a higher probability.

If anything, that loss to Bama is going to make this team hungrier to win it all.

This is kinda sorta what I was getting at. They had that dominating of a season with THAT mess at QB. Imagine what will happen with one good QB.

Shhh ! Haven't you read the dozens of Alabama posters' posts each day? We're finished. We were lucky to begin with, over-rated and will begin going 4-8 each year.

we still don't have a QB since Mett couldn't even beat out JJ/Lee

Didn't think about that. You're right. LSU is banished to the cellar for eternal sucky-ness that only the Cubs and Browns fans of the world can fathom.

LSU is going to be dominant again this year. John Chavis and an easier schedule ensure that. I could see them taking it all in Miami and exacting revenge on SC.

Oklahoma did it to FSU in 2000

The better comparison is FSU following their demoralizing beatdown in the national championship rematch against Florida. I seem to remember after that beatdown following the '96 season that FSU played in three more national championship games, winning one in '99.

Conversely, Florida didn't win another SEC title until 2000 and another national title until 2006. The better question might be what will happen to Alabama's program?

I'm sure I'm not alone, but I've been waiting almost 10 years to see a USC/LSU match-up in a bowl game, ESPECIALLY a national championship game. And if it's against Lane Kiffin, that will make it so much more sweeter to see LSU dry rape them.

Like LSU, I think Alabama is just fine. They won't win the NC or SEC every year but they'll be primed to make a serious run probably 4 out of every 6 yrs for a while.

Did the events of 1/9/2012 kill LSU's team morale and program as we know it?

Yeah. Les Miles announced the other day that the 2012 season has been cancelled, and a decision is pending on future years.

Maybe the most lopsided championship game in college football history.

Yes, it was just like USC over Oklahoma, Florida over Ohio State, etc. Just like them.

You have to know the players, coaches, everyone affiliated with the program left the Super Dome that night totally demoralized.

Link?

will LSU come into the 2012 - 2013 season with their heads hanging and tail tucked between their legs?

Yeah, let's make a bet on that one, shall we?

There is precendent for one game changing a program's culture

And there is precedent for one win sending an arrogant fanbase of pussies into fantasy world.

Is LSU next? I tend to think so, I can sympahtize with the Tigers, and I truly hope we don't see a proud program take the easy route and fold.

We'll try to help you out on that.

What a jackass.

Lots of that wishful thinking going around. Don't bet anything important to you on that. As for the game; yes it was a bad loss. Worse championship game loss ever? Not even close.
You'll win a lot more money betting on the Tigers this year than against them.

Not sure about worse, but had to be close? Shutout... only crossing the 50 once.

Exactly. Everyone who has brought up this point is going strictly by score.

It's like they just looked at the box score and said, oh well, other teams have been beaten by more than 21.

I'd much rather Sanduskatize those people we play on Nov. 3, but BOTH would be even sweeter...

I know that in terms of point spread it wasn't the most lopsided, but Saban completely shut out LSU. So, if it wasn't the most lopsided, it was certainly the most embarrasing. I watchted the replay yesterday, Bama could have won by 40 + but I think Nick has too much respect for his old program.

you do realize bama scored the astronomical amount of 1 td the entire year against LSU. Sure LSU was outmatched in that game but come on 40+ points
