Cochran is not the only member of the strength and conditioning staff at Alabama. Terry Jones Jr. is definitely on that staff and there are a few other assistants as well. Sorry but this report is bunk.

Frankly, I'm not too worried rather it's 35 or 100. Whatever works. But some people get really worked up over the "shadow staff".

You must be somewhat worried, seeing you started a thread about it.

That may very well be the case, but Alabama's official website only lists one S&C coach.

I started the thread becaus this is talked about a lot. And it's a step in the direction of a 10th assistant being added.

Who cares how many staff anyone has. The teams that are more comitted to winning and have the funds to spend should be able to have as many as they think they need. Otherwise you are penalizing excellence.

Someone please tell me why a program wouldn't stock up on their staff? What rules or restrictions are in place that would prevent them from hiring/paying as many as the program feels are needed to get the job done?

People bitch, moan, complain, and point fingers are Alabama and the size of their football staff. But what the hell's stopping Auburn/Florida/OleMiss/LSU/UGA or any other team from staffing at the same level?

I literally could not care any less about this issue but this post caught my eye. Do you happen to have a link to Bama's official webpage showing 5 S&C coaches? I'm not saying Bama doesn't have 5, nor am I saying that page doesn't exist. I'm just saying you look rather foolish calling people names without offering any substance to your post.

Well, the NCAA refused to allow us to hire Lattimore bc they said it "gave us an unfair recruiting advantage." I mean for frick's sake...we're South fricking Carolina. We NEED unfair recruiting advantages for God's sake.

Obviously this survey is not very well put together. They underestimated Bama's S&C department by 400%.

Boom!

Bama is Trump University @ Tuscaloosa.
