A&M should be making an all out effort to dump Jimbo and hire Schumann, but they won’t which is fine with me I like Schumann where he is.

Some great experience before mama called.

You’d want to replace Saban with Schumann? I could see it working out but I imagine Bama aims higher

If A&M had to hire a new coach today, I think Sonny Dykes would get a hard look. If he puts together another good season, he'll be in hot demand

Absolutely. He was on my list when Sumlin was at A&M.

I’d suggest beginning with finding a competent football coach

SEC fan should be above a comment like this. Jumbo won a national championship as HC and coached under Saban. We joke about him but he is absolutely competent.

Dykes had to play one team last year that has somewhat equivalent talent of what A&M sees weekly in the west, and lost by 70 points.

TCU beat Michigan.

Texas Tech smoked Ole Miss last year in a bowl game. Texas hung with Bama. Kansas hung with Arkansas.

It’s not like the SEC West was some almighty division last year.

He is an excellent recruiter. I question how competently he runs other aspects of the program.

Easy to look back at record last year and say he sucks. His offensive schemes rely on execution and aren’t creative.

However, 90% of Ags problem last year was our inept offensive line. They were Vandy level overall. You lose the line battle in SEC and your offensive scheme is in deep shite. You rely on execution and your line sucks… you are totally fricked.

Nah, bro. With all that aggy money, Fisher went with QB stiffs like Mond, Haynes King , Calzada, and freakin Max Johnson.

He's just collecting checks and convincing the desperate aggy boosters to pay for 4 and 5 star recruits while losing to App State, the Mississippi schools, and totally embarrassing the school by flat out saying they couldn't beat Wake Forest. lolololol

This is still hard to believe considering what Georgia did to TCU and what Bama did to Big 12 Conference champion Kansas State. Michigan fans must still be banging their heads over that one.

Too bad Disney/ESPN didn't part ways with him. He's awful.
He's just another reason I don't plan on watching College GameDay this season ..

He can stay in the Big 12 and the path to a playoff is much easier.

Which suggests a lack of proper player development. When I watch Jimbo on the sideline fumbling with his play sheets like a crazy college professor that's the impression I get. They have the talent. If he can force himself to stay out of Petrino's way there should be an improvement on offense, which is why I agree they are a dark horse to win the division this year.

What a failure of a hire that would be. Make it happen!
