Hallman had more SEC wins in his first three years than Dooley does. Overall record is worse, however. This might be a toss-up.

Hallman also had some notable victories:

#5 Alabama in 93
#22 Mississippi State in 92

He also won games out of his home state.

Give him a lifetime contract imo. He'll turn it around.

After really thinking about it, he may actually be the worst if you factor in the Tennessee part. Coach O was at ole miss. Curley is up there. I want to say Croom but his resume looks stellar against Dooley's.

He seriously might be the worst gameday coach I have ever seen. He makes terrible decesions in close games. Who runs a fake FG in OT? And he had 2 timeouts with 45 seconds left or whatever before the start of OT. I like the guy but he's not HC material.

He is a terrible coach...but I can't blame him for the fake FG. UT's kickers are horrible, and they did score a TD on the fake. I understand that the Knoxville youth football league is looking for a HC for one of their 8-under team. I don't think he would be a shoe-in, but he might get some consideration...(since they don't punt or kick fieldgoals/extra points at that age).

that's nice but it's not close

has Dooley let a QB throw 6 INTS in a game with 3 returned for TD's???? when the other teams O didn't score once??????

Well, he has won more games as an SEC coach than Mike Price.

That's pretty bad. To answer your question, no. Dooley let's the clock run out instead.

His contract is $800k/3yr, so a $750k buyout after year 1 seems about right.
